Herbert R. Tucker

March 18th, 1947–March 18th, 2023

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Herbert “Herb” R. Tucker; in
his seventy-sixth year on March 18th, 2023.

He leaves to mourn, with fond and loving memories: his devoted-loving wife, Eunice Tucker. His children; son, Christopher (Heidi) Tucker, Deer Lake; daughters, Delenda (Peter) Stevens, Main Brook; Lori (Ward) Golden, Vancouver, BC. And his grandchildren; Alexandra, Lucas, Peyton, and Brittney.

Herb was a hard-working man, who had a deep love for his family, anything to do with the outdoors, and music (especially the songs by Elvis Presley). Although, he would laugh and deny it; he was a lover of sweets, especially Caramel Log Bars. It was nothing to see Herb outside working at something with a record playing in the background; building something new, whether it would be a bird house or his adored “Sugar Shack”.

Herb was a collector of many things, rocks, model cars, driftwood, the list goes on; he loved taking pictures, going on walks: experiencing everything he could. There was never a dull moment being surrounded by Herb, he never failed to put a smile on someone’s face; and there was never a story he couldn’t tell, or a joke he couldn’t make up.

Herb is predeceased by his parents, Albert and Ruth (nee Simms) Tucker; his father-in-law, James Samson; his siblings, Joseph (Myrtle) Tucker, Charlotte (Frank) Lilly, Gladys (Edward) Patey, Gloria (Anthony) Notaro, Pearl (Gabez) Howell, Effie (Charles) Hewlin, Francis, Verna, and Wilfred; his sister-in-laws, Hildegard Tucker, Clara Tucker, Dolly Lavers; and his brother-in-laws, Ralph Davies, Arthur Gloster, Phillip Samson.

He is survived by mother-in-law; Mary Samson of River of Ponds; his brothers; Gord Tucker, Chris (Sheila) Tucker, Douglas (Marlene) Tucker, Edward Tucker, Robert (Wanda) Tucker; his sisters; Berdina Gloster, Annie (Robert) Poirier, Joyce Davies, Donna (Harris) Tucker, Joan (Wallace) Hoard; his sister-in-laws; Vera (Wilfred) Patey, Jean (David) Cluney; his brother-in-laws; Morris (Sheila) Samson, Deon (Danette) Samson, Gerry (Rosilyn) Samson, Melvin Lavers.

As well as many nieces, nephews, and friends. Visitation and singing will take place from the Main Brook Pentecostal Church on Tuesday, March 21, 2023 at 7:30 PM.
