It is with great sadness that the family of Drucella Hopkins announces her passing surrounded by her loving family at the White Bay Central health Centre, Roddickton, NL on Wednesday, January 15, 2020 around 7:00 a.m. Dora Drucella Hancock was born to Telsie and James Hancock on February 17, 1928 in Roddickton, NL. On August 26, 1946 she married Claude Hopkins of Englee and together they raised 9 children. Anyone who knew Drucella appreciated her great sense of humor. She had a very positive attitude and loved to have fun. She loved everybody and made it a point to let them know before they left her house. She was a very open-minded, strong-willed and independent individual. She will be missed by everyone who knew her because to know her was to love her. She leaves to mourn her Daughters, Wavey, Shirley (Cecil) Wilcox, Diane (Ross) Rose, Linda (Bob) Pittman, Phyllis and Jeina; Sons, Arthur, Gordon, (Cynthia) and Chris (Bernadette); Grandchildren, Helen, Nadine, Brian, Brett, Marcus, Jason, Jamie, Josh, Jeremy, Jeff, Jenny, Joshua, Colitta, Travis, Trudy, and Deanne. 24 Great Grandchildren and 3 Great-Great Grandchildren She was predeceased by her husband - Claude, 5 sisters and 3 brothers. Visitation will take place from the Pentecostal Church in Englee from where the funeral will take place on Sunday, January 19th, 2020 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Boyd officiating. Interment to follow.
