Ford was born in St. Anthony on August 8th, 1950 to Linda and George Colbourne. He married Rita Roberts on November 17, 1972 and together they raised one child, Todd, who gave them their only Grandchild, Adam. He worked with the town of St/ Anthony for 38 years and enjoyed every minute. He retired in 2014. For was dedicated to his family and loved spending time with his grandson, Adam. He loved spending time at his cabin, the more people that dropped by, the happier he was. He was a friend to everyone. He leaves to mourn with fond memories, his Wife, Rita; Son, Todd (Tracey); Grandson, Adam; Brothers, Wes (Elizabeth), Oscar (Patricia), Alvin (Carol), Derrick (Donna); Sister, Denise (Jim); Sister-in-law, Agnes; Brother-in-law, Melvin Roberts (Irene); Sister-in-law, Ella (Carl), Nellie (Les), Debbie (Ray), and Effie. Ford was predeceased by his parents, George and Linda Colbourne; Brother, Warrick; Brother-in-laws, Willie Roberts, Tobias Simms; Sister-in-laws, Ruby (Calmen) Decker. Visitation was held from Kerry M. Fillatre’s Funeral Home in St. Anthony. The funeral was held on Wednesday, February 20th, 2019 at the Salvation Army Church in St. Anthony at 2:00 pm with Captain Rideout officiating. Interment followed. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre’s Funeral Homes, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Lee Nippard Funeral Director.
