Passed away into peace on the 3rd of July, 2021 at the Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony NL. Left to mourn her passing with a lifetime of loving memories are her daughters Lillian (Max) Matthews and Lourie Ann (Tyson) Hedge, grandson Patrick (June) Matthews, Great Grandchildren; Alexis, Jackson and Emerson (Shannon), Special Nephew Ricky (Danielle) Hughes, Brothers and sisters; Marona Noseworthy, Stanley (Jill) Hughes, Edna (Iverson) Coates, Willis Hughes, Yvonne (Stewart) Hughes, Velma Noseworthy, Delilah (Lewis) Hughes, Joyce (Boyce) Hughes. as well as her sister in law Hazel Hughes, Aunts and uncles; Rita and Ivany Parrill, Millie Macey, Cicely and Don Dempster, Grand puppy Chloe, Special friend Melvina Hughes and a large number of Nieces, Nephews and Friends. Marjorie was predeceased by her parents John and Maria Hughes, Grandson Max (Bubba) Matthews jr.. Brothers and sisters; Violet, Nelson, Ross, Lawrence and Maitland, Brothers and sister in-law; Isaac Noseworthy, Osbourne Noseworthy and Winnie Hughes.

Funeral service is being held at the St. Andrews Anglican Church in Lower Cove on Wednesday July 7th, 2021 at 2:00pm with Rev. Dec. Vernon Short Officiating, with burial to follow in the Green Island Brook Anglican Cemetery. Funeral arrangements where entrusted to Kerry M. APPLIN, WILLIAM

It is with great sadness that the family of William Applin announces his sudden passing on Tuesday, March 1st, 2016 at Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony.  William of Eddies Cove East was in his 75th year.   He was a kind, funny man and enjoyed spending time with loved ones, playing cards and regaling tales from the past.  William was a hard working man and thoroughly enjoyed his career as a fisherman.  Some of his happiest times were those fishing with his brother and nephew.  William was an honorable man, a loyal brother, a revered uncle, a reliable friend, a cherished father and a devoted, loving husband.  He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.  Left to mourn with loving memories, his wife Dulcie; his girl Marvella; his son in law Ted Wells; his sisters, Irene (Lawrence) Taylor; Sybil Taylor (Scott Samson); Naomi (Hubert) Hughes; Donna (Calvin) Hughes; Edna Taylor (Michael Gibbons); Sisters in law, Rachel Applin; Hazel (Walter) Williams; Marjorie (Nicholas) Hughes, Beulah (Bruce) Coates; Laura Parrill; Rachel Parrill; Brothers in Law, John Parrill; Will Evans; Stewart (Juanita) Parrill, Wilson (Violet) Parrill, Wallace (Thamsie) Parrill; Special Nephew Derek (Susan) Applin, and his furry companion, Paddy, as well as large circle of other family and friends.  He was predeceased by his parents, William and Eliza Applin, Brothers Richard Henry; Hansel; Walter and Edmund, Sisters, Mary Elizabeth Parrill; Kizzie Evans, Brothers in law Roland Taylor; Walt Taylor; Cecil Parrill; Gordon Parrill; John (Rosie) Parrill, and Sisters in law Olga and Evelyn Parrill.  Visitation took place at St. Andrew’s Church in Lower Cove from where the funeral was held on Saturday, March 5th at 2pm with Rev. Marlene Harvey officiating.  Interment followed in the Eddies Cove Cemetery. Funeral Arangments Were entrusted to Kerry M. MCLEAN, SADIE BELLE

passed away into peace at the Charles S. Curtis Memorial hospital in St. Anthony NL, on the 27th of April 2015, Mrs. Sadie Belle McLean of Green Island Brook in her 95th year. Sadie will be lovingly remembered by her children Wilfred, Eldred (Dydia), Selby (Cicely), Maitland (Dorothy), Lillian (John), Mona, Sarah Fanny (Pammy), Rowena (Terry), Percy, Barry (Jackie), Rhoda (Kenny), Bruce (Sylvia), Daughter in law Kay, 27 Grandchildren, 39 Great Grandchildren and 4 Great Great Grandchildren. Sadie was predeceased by her parents Eli William and Sarah, Her Husband Percy, Son Sidney, Daughters in law Kitty and Judy and Son-in law Isaac. Visitation was held at the St. Andrews Anglican Church in Lower Cove, from which the funeral service was conducted on the 30th of April, 2015 at 2:00pm with Rev. Marlene Harvey and Lay Person Penney McLean officiating. Burial followed the service in the Green Island Cove Anglican Cemetery. Funeral Arrangements where entrusted to Kerry M. Passed away peacefully in to rest at his private home in Green Island Brook at the age of 71, Mr. Whyman Hughes. Whyman was predeceased by his wife Rosie, Parents John and Bridget, Parents in law Selby and Mary Noseworthy, Brothers Baxter and Claude, Sisters Stella and Maria, brother in laws Osborne Noseworthy, Orval Caddy, Robert Major, Henry way, sister in law Marg Hughes, Currie Macey, and Cassie Webb. Visitation was held at the St.Andrews Anglican Church in Lower Cove, after which the funeral service was held at 2:00pm on Saturday July 19th, 2014 with Rev. Marlene Harvey and Lay person Maxine Hughes officiating. burial followed the service in the Green Island Brook Anglican Cemetery. Funeral Arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony in her 98th Year, Mrs. Lavenia Mitchelmore of Sandy Cove.  Thankful for a lifetime of love and memories are her son Byron (Emma), daughter Bernette (Robert), daughter in law Virtue, Grandchildren Sheila (Wallace), Donald (Myrtle), Rose (Paul), Maitland, Amanda (Claude), Colette (David), Winsor (Lisa), Shane (Jeannette), Shauna, Richard, and Heather. Great Grandchildren Sheldon (Marilyn), Philip (Terri), Aaron, Mitchel, Sean, Kelly, Kaitlyn, Brittany, Shayna, and Shelly, Great Great Grandchildren Sheldon (Kayla), Austin, Bryanna, Kyla, Montana, Austin. Lavenia was predeceased by her husband Norman, sons Maitland and Winsor, daughters Amanda and Rowena, parents Isaac and Leah, her sister Marie, and brothers Walter, Lawrence and Percy.  Visitation was held at St. Andrews Anglican Church in Lower Cove, from which the funeral service took place at 2:00pm on September the 9th with Rev. HUGHES, CLAUDE

Passed away at the Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony on the 27th of July, Mr. Claude Hughes of Green Island Brook in his 63rd year.  Left to mourn his passing are his wife Vera Hughes, his sons Shane, Andy (Dara), and Ryan, his grandchildren Adam and Hartley, As well as his brothers William, Roland, Nathaniel (Patricia), Israel (Francis), Whyman and Winston (Mona), sisters Amy (Stanley), Elva, Beulah (David), Sheila (Frank), and sister in-law Phoebe.  Despite his young age Claude lived through the passing of his parents John and Bridget, his brother Baxter, sisters Stella and Maria as well as his in-laws’ Orval, Margaret and Rosie.  Visitation was held at the St. Andrews Anglican Church in Lower Cove, from which the funeral service took place at 2:00pm on the 30th of July with Rev. Passed away into peace at the Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony on the 17th of April, 2013 after a lengthy struggle, Mr. Gervin Parrill of Pines Cove in his 45th year. Gervin Leaves behind with loving memories his Parents Rita and Ivany Parrill, brothers Derek (Linda), and Jock (Wendy), Sisters Judy (Harvey) and Ruby (Donald) and many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles, cousins and a wide circle of family and friends. He was predeceased by his niece Peggy Parill. The visitation was held at St. Andrews Anglican church in Lower Cove, from which the funeral service was held at 2:00pm on Friday the 19th of April, 2013 with Rev. Marlene Harvey and Layperson Maxine Hughes officiating. Burial followed the service in the Anglican Cemetery in Pines Cove. Funeral Arrangements where entrusted to Kerry M. IIt is with great sadness that the family of George Henry Williams, born Dec. 4, 1920 in Eddies Cove East announce his passing on Feb. 10, 2013 at Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony in his 92nd year.  Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his daughters, Yvonne, Nunavut, Wavey, Shirley (Brian), son Gorvin, grandsons, Jeremy Bolger and Brandon Williams, Fort St. John, BC; brother Walter (Hazel)  and sister, Elizabeth (Mclean), Eddies Cove East, brothers-in-law, John Parrill, St. Anthony, Darius Parrill, Labrador City and sister-in-law, Margaret Manuel, St. Anthony,  as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends.  He was predeceased by his wife, Eliza (Parrill), parents, Henry Albert and Laura (Coates), brothers Philip, Timothy, Benjamin, and Anson; sisters, Eliza (Applin) and Joanna.  Visitation took place at St. Andrews Church in Lower Cove.  Funeral services were held on Thursday, Feb. 14, 2013 at 11:00 am with Rev. Marlene Harvey officiating.  Internment followed at the Interfaith Cemetery, Eddies Cove East.  Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre’s Funeral Home, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Lee Nippard funeral director.
