WILLIAMS, ZEBINA

July 20, 1945 - February 3, 2024

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Zebina Williams announce her passing on February 3, 2024 at the Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony at the age of 78 years.

Zebina will be forever loved and remembered by her children: Clyde (Tina), Cindy (Boyd); Grandchildren: Nico (Abbygail), Nicholas, Katlyn (Hayward); Great-grandchildren: Noah, Serina Rae; Brother: Robert Gale; Sister: Marie Gale; Niece: Melissa Hollet (and Family); Nephews: Justin and Zackery Gale (and families); Close friends: Jamie Dredge and Cindy Doyle as well as her extended family and friends.

She is predeceased by her husband: Clyde; Parents: Lucy and Elias Gale; In-laws: William and Mary Williams; Sister: Evenlyn Gale; Nephew: Robbie Gale; Sister-in-law: Joyce; Uncle: Adam Williams.

Visitation to take place from St. Mary’s Anglican Church in Black Duck Cove beginning the afternoon of Monday, February 5, 2024 and will continuing until the family service at 7:30 PM on Tuesday evening. The funeral will take place on February 7, 2024 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Terry Coates officiating. Interment to follow.

WILLIAMS, GEORGE THOMAS

July 30, 1933 - December 1, 2023

It is with great sadness that the family of the late George Thomas Williams announce his peaceful passing at the Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony on December 1, 2023 in his 90th year.

He leaves to mourn his loving children: Darlene (Craig) O’Brien, Winsor (Sandra) Williams, Frances (Michael) Atkinson, Irene Williams, and George Williams; Grandchildren: Martina (Logan) Dredge, Santana (Damien) Short, Farrah (John) Schmict, Crystal Williams, Keegan Williams, and Jaxon Thompson; Great-grandchildren: Whitney, Mya, Kane, Nash, Kate, and Lily; Sisters: Gertie (Bruce) Pilgrim, Effie (Lou) Hedderson, Jean (Bob) Tucker, Louise Lessard; Brothers-in-law, Donald (Dulcie) Bailey, Stewart (Rowena) Bailey, Bill (Gwen) Bailey; Sisters-in-law: Sheila (Gideon) Genge and Rita Bailey.

He is predeceased by his wife: Mary Williams; Son: Curlene; Daughter: Dulcie; Parents: Clement and Gertrude Williams; Parents-in-law: Soloman and Phoebe Bailey; Brother: Roland (Winnie) Williams; Sisters: Dulcie (Kirby) Taylor, Jane (Archiable) Bailey, Eliza (Grant) Parrill, Sylvia Simon'; Sister-in-law: Irene (Wilga) Gibbons.

A heartfelt thankyou to all the wonderful and loving staff at the Ivy Durley Place in Flowers Cove for taking care of him for the last 8 years. It means the world to us. Also a big thank you to the staff at the Strait of Belle Isle Hospital in Flowers Cove and the staff at the Charles S. Curtis memorial Hospital in St. Anthony for the wonderful care for his last few days on Earth.

Visitation to take place from St. Mary’s Anglican Church in Black Duck Cove the evening of Sunday, December 3rd 2023. The family service will be held on Monday, December 4, 2023 at 7:00 pm. The funeral will take place on Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at 3:00 pm with Rev. Canon Terry Coates officiating. Interment to follow.

WILLIAMS, JAMES

March. 11, 1954 – August. 10, 2023

It is with profound sadness and broken hearts that the family of the late James Williams share the sad news of his passing at Straits of Bell Isle Hospital on August. 10 2023 at the age of 69. He passed peacefully surrounded by his loving family and friends.

James was born to John and Susanna Williams on March 11 1954 on Current Island. He was one of his fourteen siblings. He married the love of his life Cornelia Williams on February 13th 1976 and together they raised three daughters.

James will be forever remembered and sadly missed. James leaves to mourn: his beloved wife Cornelia, daughters Tonya (Marcus), Trudy (Jamie), Tara-Lynn (Billy): Grandchildren Jemma (Christopher), Jorden, Jamie-lee, Bailee, and James: Great-Grandchildren Noah. Siblings Stanley (Bessie), Cora (Melvin), Edith (Kirby), Ruby (Gerald), In-Laws Ivy (Wade), Philomena (Abe), George (Barb), along with several nieces, nephews and a large circle of family and friends.

He was predeceased by his parents John and Susanna, sisters Hazareth (Arch), Virginia (Ches), along with seven other siblings deceased at a young age. In laws Elias and Rita. Along with his nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the Strait of Bell Isle Health Centre and Curtis Memorial Hospital staff for their care during his illness. Special thanks to Bonnie and Helen at the chemo center at Curtis Memorial.

James will be fondly remembered for his strength, love, courage and cheerful soul to all that knew him.

Cremation has taken place. Family service will take place from St. Mary’s Anglican Church in Black duck Cove on Saturday August 19th 2023 at 7:00PM. Funeral will take place at a later date.

June 26, 1937 - September 8, 2020

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Maxwell Williams announce his peaceful passing at his home in Pond Cove on September 8, 2020 surrounded by his loving family at the age of 83 years. Maxwell was a loving husband, devoted father, proud pop and Cherished brother, who spent his life as a hard working inshore fisherman to provide the best life he could for his family. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and in the woods. Left with fond and loving memories, is his wife of 61 years Marie Williams, “the Girls” Isabella, Nina and Maxine, son in laws Stephen, Martin and Floyd, Treasured Grandson Nash, special Niece Misty, Sisters Edna (Chesley), Hannah, Jane (Barry), Peggy (Rendell), sister in laws Celia Greenham (Ed) and Marjorie Gibbons and a large circle of Nieces, Nephews, Family and Friends. He was predeceased by his first born daughter Sarah Jane, Parents George and Ida Williams, In laws Isaac and Sarah Jane Gibbons, Brother in laws Samuel Dredge, Nathaniel Gibbons and Roland Gibbons and Sister in law Sybil Gibbons. The private funeral service will be held on Friday, September 11 at 2:00 pm from the Plum Point Church of the Advent with Rev. Gosse officiating. Interment to follow. WILLIAMS, WALTER

June 4th, 1931 - March 16th, 2020

Walter Williams of Eddies Cove East passed away tragically at the age of 88 years old . He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Hazel; Daughters Lillian (Perry) Williams, Beverly Dale (Roger) Veniot ; Granddaughter, Laura (Corey) McLean & Great Grandson Brody, as well as extended family & friends. He is predeceased by his daughters Laura Michelle & baby Williams , his parents Henry & Laura Williams & his brothers , sisters & in laws. Thanks to everyone who has helped the family in anyway through this very hard time! Visitation took place from St. Andrew’s Anglican Church in Lower Cove from where the funeral was held on March 22, 2020 with Rev. Deacon Vernon Short officiating. Interment followed. Passed away on October 24th, 2017 at the Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony at the age of 57 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his partner Michelle; Son Dylan; Stepsons Ryan and Jeff; Grandkids Jade, Autumn, Parker, and Kirsty; Sisters Caroline, Vivian, Yvonne (Lambert); Brothers George (Judy), Stephen (Rachel), Cornelious; Mother and Father in law Pat and Angela Walsh; Sisters and Brothers in Law as well as extended family and friends. Whyman was predeceased by his Father and Mother Hubert and Jane Williams. Visitation took place from St. Mary’s Anglican Church in Black Duck Cove from where the funeral was held on October 27th, 2017 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Katie Flynn officiating. WILLIAMS, ADAM

Passes away peacefully at the John M. Gray Center in St. Anthony on the 21st of February 2013, Mr. Adam Williams of Forresters Point, in his 83rd year. Adam leaves behind his beloved partner of 23 years Bessie Taylor, fifteen step grandchildren, one   step great grandchild Jordan as well as many Nieces and Nephews.He was predeceased by his wife Stella, his mother Jane, his father Adam, his brother William  and sisters Phobe, Emily, Elizabeth, Mariah and Rachel. the visitation was held at the St. Mary's Anglican Church in Black Duck Cove, From which the funeral service was held on the 24th of February at 2:00pm with Rev. Harold Harvey and Lay Person Yvonne Dredge officiating. burial followed the service at the Black Duck Cove Anglican Cemetery. Funeral arrangement's where entrusted to Kerry M. IIt is with great sadness that the family of George Henry Williams, born Dec. 4, 1920 in Eddies Cove East announce his passing on Feb. 10, 2013 at Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony in his 92nd year.  Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his daughters, Yvonne, Nunavut, Wavey, Shirley (Brian), son Gorvin, grandsons, Jeremy Bolger and Brandon Williams, Fort St. John, BC; brother Walter (Hazel)  and sister, Elizabeth (Mclean), Eddies Cove East, brothers-in-law, John Parrill, St. Anthony, Darius Parrill, Labrador City and sister-in-law, Margaret Manuel, St. Anthony,  as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends.  He was predeceased by his wife, Eliza (Parrill), parents, Henry Albert and Laura (Coates), brothers Philip, Timothy, Benjamin, and Anson; sisters, Eliza (Applin) and Joanna.  Visitation took place at St. Andrews Church in Lower Cove.  Funeral services were held on Thursday, Feb. 14, 2013 at 11:00 am with Rev. Marlene Harvey officiating.  Internment followed at the Interfaith Cemetery, Eddies Cove East.  Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M.
