IIt is with great sadness that the
family of George Henry Williams, born Dec. 4, 1920 in Eddies Cove East
announce his passing on Feb. 10, 2013 at Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital in
St. Anthony in his 92nd year.
Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his daughters,
Yvonne, Nunavut, Wavey, Shirley (Brian), son Gorvin, grandsons, Jeremy Bolger
and Brandon Williams, Fort St. John, BC; brother Walter (Hazel) and sister, Elizabeth (Mclean), Eddies Cove
East, brothers-in-law, John Parrill, St. Anthony, Darius Parrill, Labrador City
and sister-in-law, Margaret Manuel, St. Anthony, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews,
many other relatives and friends. He was
predeceased by his wife, Eliza (Parrill), parents, Henry Albert and Laura
(Coates), brothers Philip, Timothy, Benjamin, and Anson; sisters, Eliza
(Applin) and Joanna. Visitation took
place at St. Andrews Church in Lower Cove.
Funeral services were held on Thursday, Feb. 14, 2013 at 11:00 am with
Rev. Marlene Harvey officiating.
Internment followed at the Interfaith Cemetery, Eddies Cove East. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry
M. Fillatre’s Funeral Home, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Lee Nippard funeral
director.
