CHAMBERS, URSULA ELIZA

It is with heartfelt sadness that the family of Ursula Eliza Chambers announces her passing at Charles S Curtis Memorial Hospital, St. Anthony, NL on February 10th, 2025, at the age of 98.

Ursula loved life, some of her favorite things to do was set her garden, pick berries, sew, and knit. She loved to go trout fishing and being outdoors on ski doo rides. She was most proud of her family; she loved to have them gather at her house every Saturday for soup. Her heart was full when she was surrounded by her sons, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Ursula was a member of the Legion Branch # 55, she proudly received the Iron Cross Medal on behalf of her brother Thomas Gardner Samson who was lost at sea in WWII.

Ursula has joined her loving husband William at eternal peace.

Ursula was supported in life by her six sons, she will be remembered with fond and loving memories: Wade (Ivy), Tom (Tammy), Dennis (Wavey), Winsor (Margaret), Curtis (Bon), David (Joan), Nancy (Pat). Grandchildren; Dwayne (Janice), Maurice (Melissa), Tobi (Pam), Lorenzo (Teraceta), Geoffrey (Keisha), CJ (Dylin) and Jason. Great Grandchildren; Alex, Hannah, Hailey, Jarod, Ty, Jay, Breeah and Bennett. Sisters in law; Olive, Sandra, Sophie and Doreen, Nieces, Nephews and a large circle of family and friends.

She was predeceased by her parents; James and Rosanna Samson, brothers; Thomas, Peter, William, Donald, James; Sisters; Elsie, Cora and Lydia.

The family would like to acknowledge Ursula’s care workers who went above and beyond to provide her with the utmost care. We would also like to express enormous gratitude to the Nursing Staff at Charles S. Curtis Memorial hospital at St. Anthony.

Family service will take place on Thursday, February 13th at 7:00 PM at the Church of the Advent, Plum Point, with a Funeral service taking place Friday February 14th, at 11:00 AM, with Reverend Coates officiating. An interment will follow at the Anglican Cemetery in Pond Cove.
