Edward was born in Mary’s Harbour, Labrador to Myrtle and Robert Parr of Port Hope Simpson, Labrador on June 6th, 1960. As a young man he grew up in the fishing boat. He met the love of his life, Daphne Andrews, and they married on January 27, 1984. Together, they raised two daughters, Dana and Erica. Edward was a Jack-of-all-trades; he worked at St. Anthony Seafoods, as a carpenter building houses, he worked in construction, he worked at Hillier’s Esso, and as a Janitor/Bus Driver at Bayview Collegiate and White Hills Academy. He was a quiet man loved by everyone.
He leaves to mourn, his Wife, Daphne of 37 years; Daughters, Dana (Scott House), Erica (Toby Penney); Granddaughters, LoraLee Penney and Keira House, who were his pride and joy; Sisters, Zonya (Graham Hillier), Marilyn (Lemuel Penney), Jeanette (Barry Boyd), Irene (Peter Kippenhuek); Brothers, Hayward (Mildred), Donald (Roseann), Kevin (Wavey), Stephen (Sherry), as well as a large circle of family and friends.
He is predeceased by his Dad, Robert Parr (February 1, 2008) and his Mom, Myrtle Parr (May 17, 2021).
Visitation will take place from the Pentecostal Tabernacle in St. Lunaire-Griquet, NL on Sunday, August 29, 2021 from 7-9pm and on Monday, August 30, 2021 from 10am-12pm. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday with Pastor Harnum officiating. Interment to follow.

RUMBOLT, RICKY
May 21, 1949 - July 17, 2020
It is with profound sadness that the family of the late Ricky Rumbolt announce his passing on July 17th, 2020 at Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital. Ricky lived for his family, and spoiling his grand kids. He loved the sea, he fished on Camp Islands until the cod moratorium and with the Labrador Shrimp Co. on the shrimp draggers. He sailed his last trip on the M.V. Northern Osprey III before retiring in August 2019. He also loved combing the hills of Camp Islands in search of bakeapples and always found his share. Ricky leaves to mourn; Jean, his wife of 47 years; his daughters Sheena (Leon) and Marilyn (Wade); his grandchildren, Jaime (John), Christian, Shae (Alexa), Owen and Starla (Andrew); His Great Grandchildren, Kasey and Bridget. Also mourning his loss is his siblings, Lorraine, Rosalind (Freeman), Roddy (Patsy), Shirley (Ross), Pauline (Aubrey), and Glenda (George), their families, many friends and his fellow crew members. Ricky was predeceased by his parents Clarence & Mabel Rumbolt, his grandson and best buddy Chesley Rumbolt, and his brother - laws John Stone, and Gerald Martin. " Love is stronger than death" At this time we would also like to extend our thanks and appreciation to Dr. Conners , Dr. Parfrey , the CCU nurses at the Health Sciences Center, Dr. Maynard, Dr. Alshami, ICU nurses and ward nurses at Charles S. Curtis Memorial, Fillatres Services, Uncle Roddy, Dave Leyden, Pam Yetman, Pat Martin, Joan Rumbolt as well as all those who are supporting us through this difficult time in any way. Born in William’s Harbour, Labrador on August 10, 1934, passed away January 8th, 2018 at the John M. Gray Centre in St. Anthony at the age of 83 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his Daughter Lorraine (Maurice); Grandchildren Melanie and Maria; Brothers Freeman (Rosalind), Howard (Dorothy), George (Louise); Sisters Laura and Clara, brother-in-law Fred Sooley, Sisters-in-law Valerie Russell and Rita Rowe, as well as a large circle of family and friends. He was predeceased by his Parents William and Levenia Russell; Brothers Albert, Jacob, Norman, Melvin, Robert, Redgeway; Sister Susannah; Brothers-in-law Thompson Flynn and Jacob Hill, and Nephew Stephen Flynn. Visitation was held from the Anglican Church in Mary’s Harbour from where the funeral took place at 1:00 pm on Friday, January 12th, 2017 at 1:00 pm with Rev. Gerald Peddle officiating. Passed away at Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony on December 13th, 2017 at the age of 71 years. Visitation and Funeral Services were held from St. Mary the Virgin’s Anglican Church in Mary’s Harbour on the 16th of December, 2017 Rev. Peddle officiating. Passed peacefully away at the John M. Gray Center in St. Anthony on the 16th of November 2014, Mr. Benjamin Butt of Mary's Harbour in his 84th Year. Benjamin leaves behind is loving wife of 47 years, Joyce, his children Glenys (Scott) Rumbolt, Kelly (Albert) Penney, Gail (Hughie) Holley and Trevor (Michelle). grandchildren Jenna, Julia, Haley, Connor, Emily, and Sarah, his sisters Emma Samson, Martha (Gordon) Pye, Laura Dalton as well as a large circle of family and friends. In his life Benjamin loss his mom and dad Susanna and Bartholomew, his brothers Edward, Frederick, Barton and Alex, and his nephew Garfield. Visitation took place at the St. Mary's Anglican Church in Mary's Harbour, from which the funeral service took place at 2:00pm on the 20th day of November, 2014 with rev. Keith Sheppard Officiating.
