LODER, RALPH WILBURN

June 25, 1948 - November 26, 2021

Ralph Wilburn Loder was born June 25, 1948 in Griquet to Selby & Blanche Loder. On May 30, 1969 he married the love of his life Marie (Roberts) of Quirpon. They made their home in Griquet where they raised their five daughters. Ralph spent most of his life as a fisherman in the summer and spent time with his father in the lumber woods in the winter. Ralph was a great husband and a wonderful father. His children were his pride and joy. He gave them unconditional love. In December 2000, he was diagnosed with kidney failure. In April of 2001 he started his 20 ½ years of kidney dialysis. He was in illness as he was in health, positive, caring, a lover of life & fun who took great delight in humour. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Left to mourn is his wife Marie, five daughters Sandra (Todd) Earle, Penny (Jason) Norman, Nancy (Jason) Pilgrim, Karen (Jammie) Bussey and Cathy (Allan) Jones. Nine grandchildren. Dana (Donald) Munro, Erin, Jesse, Bailey, Tracy, Lucas, Emily, Allison and Kayla. Two great grandchildren Brody and Tobey. Two brothers Albert (Gloria) Loder and Ross Loder. Six sisters Mary Loder, Ivy (Arthur) Bath, Selma Hill, Sadie (Nelson) Taylor, Alice (Kevin) Compton and Donna (Kenneth) Gray. An abundance of nieces and nephews, who he loved as his own. Many aunts, uncles and cousins. And the many friends, especially his card playing buddies Martin and Betty Snow.

Ralph also had another family who he adored, his dialysis family. The nurses and patients in the dialysis unit at Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital always held a special place in his heart and he was very thankful for all the kindness that they showed him.

Ralph was pre deceased by his parents Selby and Blanche, his mother and father in-law Wilfred and Evelyn Roberts, brother in Law Abraham Hill. As well as his special uncle, friend and fishing partner Arthur Loder.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00pm from the Pentecostal church in Griquet on the 2nd of December 2021 with Pastor Bill Harnum Officiating. Burial to follow in the Church cemetery.
