PYNN, ALBERT

Passed away on January 28th, 2018 at the Charles S Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony at the age of 86 years. Albert was born in St. Anthony, in January of 1932, to Chesley and Annie Pynn. Unfortunately, App’s mother Annie died just a few months after his younger brother Everett was born. It was then that their Grandmother, Mary Pynn, stepped in to rear them up. As a young Adult, App was living in St. Anthony where he was working. At that time, Effie McLean from Eddies Cove caught his eye, and he married her in 1953, sixty-five years ago. Annie and ‘Liza have said that, while App did a variety of jobs, they remember him as a fisher. Bradley says that he left the fishery at the time of the moratorium. App always loved being in the outdoors, whether it was hunting for Moose, Turr or Ducks, or fishing, especially Salmon Fishing. He also enjoyed playing guitar, which gave his family many hours of joy. He had a loving family and a strong circle of friends. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his Wife Effie; Children Annie (Guy), Eliza (Bob), Bradley (Peggy); Grandchildren Stacey (Tom), Nicole (Wayde), Petrina (Colin), Georgina (Jason), Bobby, Miranda; Brother Everett (Matilda); ten Greatgrandchildren and many Nieces and Nephews. Albert was predeceased by his parents Chesley and Annie; Sister Maude; Brother Gus, Son George, Granddaughters Tammy, Jennifer, Samantha; Grandson Tyson; and Great-Granddaughter Danielle. Visitation was held from Kerry M. Fillatre’s Funeral Home in St. Anthony until the funeral on Wednesday, January 31st, 2018 from the Central United Church on Quirpon branch with Rev. Gus Pendleton officiating. Interment followed in the Quirpon Community Cemetery. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Kerry M.
