Floyd Anthony Patey was born in Grehat Brehat on July 25th, 1935 to William and Jesse Patey. It was here in Brehat that hew grew up.In the 1950’s he met Pearl Cull of Great Brehat and they married on February 10th, 1959. Together Pearl and Floyd raised two daughters, Linda and Alice, and two grandsons, Deon and Leon. While Floyd and Pearl raised their family in Great Brehat he provided for his family by fishing for a living along side and side-by-side with his brother Joseph.
Floyd leaves to mourn his wife Pearl of 57 years; daughters Linda (Willie) and Alice (Boyce); grandsons Deon (Nadine) and Leon (Catherine); three great-great grandchildren, sisters Julie and Dorcas; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; four brother in laws Ronald, Norman, Pearce and Carol; one sister in law Ethel Ward and a large circle of family and friends.Floyd is pre-deceased by his parents William and Jesse; brothers Samuel and Joseph; sisters Shirley, Emily and Alice; brothers in law Wallace Ward and Wallace Cull. Visitation was held at Kerry M. Fillatres Funeral Home in St. Anthony. The funeral service took place at the United Church in St. Anthony at 2:00pm on Monday, November 23, 2015. Officiated by Rev.
