Passed peacefully away at the Health Science Center in St. John’s on the 14th day of January 2014. Mr. Martin Gibbons of Pigeon Cove was in his 72nd year. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Annie, Daughters Eileen(Vaughn), Joy(Keith), Lillian(Ramsey), Mary Jane(Shawn), Son Martin(Leona), Grandchildren Christopher, Danica, Chantelle, Jonathon, Ian, Katie, Bradley, Victoria Lynn, Brianna, and Nickolas, Sisters Lillian(James)Coombs, Edith(Isaac)Dredge, Brothers James(Gladys), Edmund(Mary Ann), as well as large circle of family and friends. HE was predeceased by his parents Steven and Myrtle Gibbons. Visitation was held at the St. Mary’s Anglican Church in Black Duck Cove followed by the funeral service which was held at 11:00am on the 19th day of January 2014 with Rev. Harold Harvey and Lay Reader Mat Osborne officiating. Internment followed at the church cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral Homes, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Lee Nippard Funeral Director.
