Passed peacefully away at the John M. Gray Center on the 17th day of December 2013. Mrs. Stella Florence Compton of Bide Arm was in her 88th year. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memoires her twelve children Ruth Randell, Maude (Carl) Elliott, Mona (Charles) Tucker, Loretta (Eric) Curtis, Earl (Anita) Compton, Eric (Patricia) Compton, Iris (Kevin) Karpovich, Evelyn Compton (Ronald Sotnikow), Baxter (Sylvie)Compton, Dennis Compton, Phyllis (Randy) Franklin, Selma Bradley and daughter-in-law Irina Compton; Twenty-Four Grandchildren, Twenty-Five Great Grandchildren and Four Great- Great grandchildren, Three Sisters Pearl Keefe, Maude Cull and Lucy Tetford, along with her remaining in-laws Verna Gillard, Velma Compton, George and Nellie Compton as well as a large circle of family and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Luke, Son Frederick Compton, Two Granddaughters Jessica Jane Compton and Wendy Nicole Powell, her parents Frederick and Bessie Gillard, her Two Brothers Baxter Gillard and Infant Frederick William Gillard. Visitation was held at the Apostolic Faith Church in Bide Arm from which the fuenral service was held at 2:00pm on the 28th day od December2013 with Rev. Chris Hewlett officiating. Internment followed in the church cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral Homes, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Siobhan Mauger Funeral Home.
