FILLIER, DULCIE

Passed away into peace on the 18th of January, 2025, in her 95th year at the Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony, Mrs. Dulcie Fillier

Left to Cherish Memories are her Children: Roger Fillier (Wendy), Scott Fillier (Donna), Neil Fillier (Bernice), Celia Fillier, Wanda Daye, Patti Fillier (Danny Henzbee), Brenda Brenton (Willis), Her Sisters Delilah Brown and Lillian Ricketts, as well as many grandchildren, Nieces, Nephews and a large circle of Friends and Relatives.

Dulcie was predeceased by her husband Bennett Fillier, Her Parents Stanley and Alice Randell, Hers Sons Kevin Fillier and Boyce Fillier, Her Daughter Loretta Fillier, Grandson Tyson Brenton, brother Ronald Randell, Sister Dorothy Randell and brothers in law Steward Randell, Ralph Ricketts, and Samuel Bown.

Visitation will take place at the Salvation Army Church in Englee Beginning Thursday, January 23rd, 2025 and continuing through to the funeral service at 2pm on Saturday, January 25th with Major Janes officiating. Burial will follow the service at the new Salvation Army Cemetery following the service.

HOPKINS, PERCY WILLIAM ROBERT

Percy was pron on oct. 10, 1936 to Tamer and Jonas Hopkins. he was on e of fourteen children. Percy met and married Rowena Hancock of Roddickton on May 31, 1958, together they had six children; Patsy,Wade Eugene, Burt, Terry and Larry.  Percy began as a young boy fishing with his father and after his fathers retirement he fished with his late brother Randolph, Son Wade and Nephew Harry. He loved moose watching and moose hunting. he enjoyed the things in nature and he also loved to go for his car rides. Percy loved gardening in summertime, his plants, flowers and his cabbage, beets, carrots and rhubarb. Percy loved Christmas, the lights and the Tree. the Lord took him home on his Favorite time of year. Percy passed away at the Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital on the 26th of December. left to mourn his loss are his wife Rowena, daughter patsy (Hardy) Fillier of Englee, sons Wade (Susie) and Eugene (Donna) of Englee, burt (Kim) of Spruce Grove, Alberta Terry (Bonnie) of Cormack, Larry (Maureen) of Edmonton Alberta.  his brothers Easu (Josephine) of englee, Wilbert (Joan) of C.B.S., Wilfred (Regina) of Englee, sister Emma (Harvey) Compton of prince Albert Sask., Olive (Allen) Compton of Roddickton, Marguerite (Leslie) Canning of Englee, Tina (Terry) Peddle of Grand Falls and Betty (Gordon) Rice of Main Brook as well as his sister in laws Anne and Melvina Hopkins of Englee, brother in law Ray parsons of st. johns and 19 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and a large circle of friends and relatives. Percy was predeceased by his parent Jonas and Tamar, Grand sons Stephen, sisters Louise Squires, Effie Sweetland and Kate Parsons and Brothers Roy and Randolph. visitation was held at the Salvation Army Church in Englee. The funeral service was held at 2:00pm on December 29th with Major Baggs officiating. burial followed in the New Salvation Army Cemetery, Englee. Funeral Arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. RANDELL, MATILDA

June 6, 1938  ~  April 7, 2014 

Matilda was born on June 6, 1938 to the late Arthur & Susanna Compton of Englee. She married the love of her life, Norman Randell of Hooping Harbour, on November 15th, 1955. Together they raised 7 children; Wanda, Gideon (Judy), Ambrose, Vay (Christine), David (Sharon), Nelson (Deceased) and Osborne (Roxanne).Matilda was a devoted wife and a wonderful mom. She was a special friend to everyone and loved by all who knew her. She gave her heart to Jesus around the age of 19, was enrolled as a Soldier on April 11, 1993 and was a faithful member of her Corps until sickness prevented her from attending. Matilda stood on God’s promises all her life and knew what it was to serve him faithfully in every circumstance and was looked upon by many as a great prayer warrior and encourager. Matilda leaves to mourn her husband (Norman), 6 children, 14 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, 1 brother Ray (Ruth) and 2 sisters Ella and Hazel (Ron),  son-in-law Kevin & Daughter-in-law Gloria. She is predeceased by her son, her parents, 5 sisters and 5 brothers. The visitation was held at the Salvation Army church in Englee NL, from which the funeral service took place at 2:00pm on Friday April 11th, with Major Bingle officiating. NEWMAN, JOHN

Passed away peacefully at the Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital on the 10th day of January 2014. Mr. John Newman of Englee was in his 94th year. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memoires Sons Junior(Arlene) and Perry(Lenita), Daughters Juanita(Norm), Olive, Shirley(Scott), and Glenda(Rudy), Sister Mae,  Thireteen Grandchildren, Twenty Great Grandchildren, Brother –in-law Francis, as well as large circle of family and friends. He was predeceased by his wife Daisy, daughter Ida, Parents Theophilus and Bertha, Brothers Cecil and Shem, Sister Lucinda and Son-in-law Gordon. Visitation was held at the Salvation Army church in Englee followed by the funeral service which was held at 2:00pm on the 13th day of January 2014 with Major Henry Bingle officiating. Internment followed in the church cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral Homes, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Lee Nipard Funeral Director.

Passed away suddenly at the Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony on the 12th of October, 2013 at the age of 63 Mrs. Joyce Olive Fillier, of Englee NL. Joyce leaves behind her husband Garfield Fillier, her sons Jeffery (Denna) Fillier of Englee, Craig (Cindy) Fillier of Vancouver B. C., Shawn (Darlene) Fillier of Englee, Jason (Colleen) Fillier of Cap ele NB, Damian (Robin) Fillier of Fort Macmurry, Daughters Debbie (Kevin) of Goose Bay and Paulette (Mohammed) of Alexandria Egypt, Brother Hiram (Leona) Randell of Goose Bay, Sisters Jessie Burden of Gander, Ethel (Roy) Pilgrim of Goose Bay, Mildred Campbell of Goose Bay, Alma (David) Hynes of Twillingate, and Margaret (Hubert) Burden of Goose Bay. As well as grandchildren Justin, Jenna, Jeanessa, Kerry, Robbie, Jamie, Chantal, Kendra and Cynthia, Great Grandchildren Robert, Sean, Brooklyn and Douglas and a large circle of family and friends. The visitation was held at the Salvation Army Church in Englee, from which the funeral service took place at 2:00pm on Wednesday October 16, 2013 with Major Baggs Officiating.
