Passed away peacefully at the Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony NL on The 23rd Day of December, 2024, Mrs. Ethel Gould in her 91st year.

Ethel will always remembered by: Husband Clyde sr. Sons: Wilson (Gladys) , Clifford ( Anne ), Clyde jr. (Holly), Stephen (Brenda), Glenn ( Vanessa ), Martin ( Susan ),Grand children: Roland ( Denise ), Robin ( Amanda ), Ramsey ( Donna), Bianca ( Andrew ), Jeffrey ( Felicia ), Jamie ( Megan ) , Keagan , Morgan, Spencer ( Alyson ), Mackenzie, Great grandchildren: Brandon, Abbey, Caleb, Sidney, Andrea, Mya, Jayla, Layla, Lily

She was Pre deceased by: Parents Thomas and Beatrice Genge, Sisters: Evelyn ( Edward ), Eliza ( Porter ), Grandson Wilson Gould jr., Sisters in-law: Gloria, Georgina, Alma and Ivy, Brothers in-law: Curtis, Daniel, Garfield, Cyril, Isaac

Visitation is being held at the Bear Cove Anglican Church beginning Thursday December 26th and continuing through to the family service in the evening of Friday, December 27th, 2024. The funeral service will be held at 2pm on Saturday, December 28th, 2024 with Rev. Canon Vernon Short Officiating. burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.

QUINLAN, HENRY

Gone but forever in our Hearts

It is with great sadness that the family of Mr. Henry John Quinlan announce his passing on the 7th day of January 2024, in his 70th year.

Left to live in the love and fond memories of the wonderful life of Henry are: His loving wife of 49 years – Leona Quinlan; His sons – Sheldon, Shannon (Minnie) and Shelby (Melanie); Grandchildren – Johan (Keely), Katie (Nick), Jenya, Tayvin, Cambrie, Angel, Corbin Henry, and Trinity; Great Grand Children – Sunshine, Braxton, and Braelyn; Sisters/Sisters-in-Law and Brothers/ Brothers-in-law: Norman (Neelie), Roy, Sus (Boldin), Jose, Rita, Rebecca (Herm) and Netta; his uncle: Henry Barrett; His woods partner Wilson Tatchell, and a wide circle of other family members and friends.

Henry was Predeceased by his Mother, Blanche Quinlan and Father, John Quinlan, Mother-in-law Lennora Hughes, Father-in-law James Hughes,  Brothers: Arthur and Joseph, Sister, Eliza and Brothers and sisters-in-law.

A Visitation and Family service will be held at the St. Mark’s Anglican Church in Savage Cove at 7pm on Wednesday January 10th, followed by the Celebration of Life Service at 11am on Thursday January 11th with Rev. Canon Vernon Short Officiating.

The family would to extend a special thank you to the nurses at The Strait of Belle Isle Health Center in Flower’s Cove, the nurses and staff at the palliative care unit room 210 at the Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony, a special thank you to Bonnie and Helen at the Chemo Lab, as well as all the people who called, texted and brought food to our room and who came to spend time with us. Your thoughtfulness will always be appreciated.


GAULTON, REGINA RUBY

It is with immense sadness that the family announce the passing of their beloved Regina Gaulton
Left to mourn her passing are her children William and Leah (Austin) along with her mother Rita Gaulton and her siblings Johanne (Stedman) Hughes, Jeffery (Lynette) Gaulton, Lisa and Nat Jr. (Tracy) Gaulton, along with Nieces Dakota Gaulton and Kaya (Aiden) Gaulton, Nephews Jake (Sara) McMartin, Aaron Hughes, Xavier Brown, Austin Brown, Ayden (Haley) Hughes, Jericho Brown, Hunter Gaulton and her Partner Jon Hardy as well as numerous family friends and co workers at the St. Barbe Co-Op.
Regina Passed peacefully away in her home in Savage Cove on Nov. 26, 2023 in her 49th year.
She was predeceased by her father Nathaniel Gaulton Sr. and her Grandparents Blanche and John Quinlan and Dora and Androcles Hodge.

Visitation will be held Friday Afternoon December 1st at the Savage Cove Anglican Church and continuing to the Family service on Sunday December 3rd. The funeral service will take place at 2pm on Monday December 4th with Rev. Cannon Vernon Short Officiating. Funeral Arrangements are entrusted to Kerry M. WHITE, WALTER SR.

August 20, 1947-November 22, 2023

It was with great sadness that the family of the late Walter White Sr. announced is peaceful passing at the Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony on November 22, 2023, in his 76th year.

He leaves to mourn his loving and devoted wife of 53 years Caroline. His Sons: Walter Jr (Jennifer) White, Marcus (Tonya) White and Daughter Nicole (Stephen) White; Granddaughters: Jemma (Chris) Gould, Jorden (Cole) White, Brittany (William) White and Stephanie Strickland; Grandsons: Brandon White (Shawna), Carter Applin and Jaxon Applin; Great-Great Grand Children: Lexie Hedderson, Clara Hedderson, Mia White, Jaxon Flynn, James White, Noah Gould, and Michael Strickland; Brothers: Twin Brother Thomas (Dulcie) White, Jacob White, Jim (Jessie) White, Marcus (Emelene) White; Sisters: Emily Whalen, Mariah Gould.

He is predeceased by: Parents: Emanuel and Virginia White, Parent-In-Laws: Frederick and Mathilda Williams; Brother: Raymond (Enid) Toope; Sister-In-Laws: Cinderella Toope, Pauline White and Brother-In-Laws: Wilson Toope, Nelson Whalen, and Carl Gould.

The family service will take place on Friday, November 24th, 2023, at 7:00 pm. The funeral will be held at St. Thomas’ Anglican Church in Sandy Cove on Saturday, November 25th, 2023, at 2:00 pm with Rev. Canon Vernon Short officiating. Interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery in Savage Cove.

WAY, JOHN

May 3, 1928 – October 16, 2023

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loving father, grandfather, great grandfather and brother John Way of Savage Cove. After a short illness John passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Monday, October 16, 2023 at the age of 95 years at the Charles Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony.

He was a loving, gentle and kind man, a fisherman, a carpenter, a boat builder, a man of many talents. He could often be seen on the wharf chatting with the fishermen or out on the point watching the boats through his spyglasses or sitting out on his front step. He also enjoyed his weekly visit to the co-op where he would see people and have a little chat. He was always willing to offer a lending hand to his family and in the community.

He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his son Elijah (Cicely), daughters Winnie (Stan), Daisy (Tom); Grandchildren Jeffrey (Joni), Sheldon (Peggy), Chad (Natasha), Denise (Monty), Damian (Trina), Robin (Ivy), Cleon (Vicki); Great Grandchildren Jonah, Sydney, Jayden, Nathan, Tori, Jaxon, Cody, Leya, Brittany, Brody, Josh, Jorja, Daniel, Staci and Benjamin; Sister Winnie (Ken) and extended family and friends.

He is predeceased by his loving wife of 66 years Louisa, Mother and Father – Keziah and Benjamin Elijah Way, Mother and Father-in law Clara and Stephen White, Brothers Llewellyn (Dulcie), Earl (Mary Ellen), Sisters Rachel (Charlie) and Jane.

The family wishes to send a special thank you to the staff at Strait of Belle Isle Health Centre in Flowers Cove and to the staff at Curtis Memorial Hospital for their care and compassion.

The only thing deeper than the pain of losing you was our love. Rest in Peace.

Visitation to take place from St. Marks Anglican Church in Savage Cove beginning Wednesday, October 18, 2023 and will continue daily until the funeral on Friday, October 20, 2023 at 11:00 am with Rev. Canon Vernon Short officiating. Interment to follow.

BENNETT, WALTER

It is with great sadness that the family of Walter Bennett announce his passing on July 26, 2023 at the John M. Gray Center in St. Anthony - at the age of 92. He passed peacefully with his family by his side. Walter was born in Greens Harbour, NL August 30, 1930 to parents Raymond and Elizabeth Bennett. After losing his mother at 9 years of age, he helped raise 2 brothers. He met his wife, Nellie and they married on October 1950 and moved to Main Brook. Together they raised 7 Children. He was a loving husband and father. Like his father and their fathers before them, he was a skilled blacksmith and worked with Bowaters for many years. After blacksmith work was no longer needed, he became a mechanic and started his own business with his wife Nellie by his side. He spent his retirement berry picking, beach combing, gardening, and collecting recyclables to raise money for the Janeway Hospital on his pedal bike; but his greatest pleasure was always making sure his wife was well taken care of. To celebrate his memory he leaves behind his children: Judy (Ambrose), Peggy, Bryan (Janice) Jean (Edward), Dianne (Carl), Paula (Edward), Perry (Cathy), - 18 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren and a large circle of loved ones that were touched by his wonderful life.

Visitation was Held at the Anglican Church in Main Brook on Saturday July 28th through to the Funeral Service, held at 11am on the 31st of July 2023 with Rev. Cannon Vernon Short officiating. Burial took place in The Main Brook Anglican Cemetery following the service.
