Passed away into peace on the 25th of December 2014, at the Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital, Mr. George Alfred Patey of Main Brook, at the age of 79 years. Left to mourn are his dear wife of 51 years Juanita, his children Iris, Kathryn (Dennis), Jean (Steve), and Brian (Lisa) as well as his grandchildren Aaron, Marc (Robin), Samantha, Davin, Tylee (Christopher), Zane, Leah (Casey), Aaron, Riley and Great grandchildren Landon, Zander, Richard and Owen. George was predeceased by his son Lindsay, Father James Hedderson and Step mother Emma, Mother Rose Mackie, Step Father James Mackie, Sister Elizabeth and Brother Leonard. We will be sadly missed by all. Visitation was held at the United Church in Main Brook, from which the funeral service was held at 2:00pm on the 29th of December with Rev. Passed peacefully away at the John M. Gray Center on the 17th day of December 2013. Mrs. Stella Florence Compton of Bide Arm was in her 88th year. She was predeceased by her husband Luke, Son Frederick Compton, Two Granddaughters Jessica Jane Compton and Wendy Nicole Powell, her parents Frederick and Bessie Gillard, her Two Brothers Baxter Gillard and Infant Frederick William Gillard. Visitation was held at the Apostolic Faith Church in Bide Arm from which the fuenral service was held at 2:00pm on the 28th day od December2013 with Rev. Chris Hewlett officiating. It is with great sadness that the family of the late Raymond James Elms announce his peaceful passing at the Palliative Care Unit Western Memorial Hospital, Thursday, Nov. 7, 2013 at the age of 94 years. Leaving to mourn son David (Sandra), Corner Brook; Daughter Jackie (Wally), Steady Brook; grand-children: Jonathan (Amanda); Jennifer; Jeremy and Andrew; great grand-son, Davis Raymond; step-granddaughters Emily and Meghan; Step- great grandson, Max; brother, Lewis (Jessie), And a large Circle of family and friends who were a big part of his life. He was pre-deceased by his wife, Josie Elms (June 30, 2002). Dad left a positive impression on everyone who met him.
