It is with profound sadness that the family of the late Edward Greenham announces his peaceful passing on March 5, 2025, with his loving daughter Judy by his side.
Born on May 15, 1937, in Raleigh, Edward later relocated to St. Carol’s, where fate led him to the love of his life at Chaytor’s Movie Theater. Their love story blossomed into 56 wonderful years of marriage. bringing them five beloved children, ten cherished grandchildren, and one precious great-grandchild.
He was a devoted husband, sharing countless hours with mom as she battled her cognitive decline. Edward was a father in every sense of the word. He loved unconditionally, cared deeply, and gave endlessly. He loved spending time with family and friends, and was especially happy hunting, fishing and being at the cabin.
Edward was a legend in the community, known by all. He was a social man, No matter where he was, he made everyone he encountered feel special. He will be missed by many.
He leaves to mourn his five children: Truman (Tammy), Judy (Barry), Trudy (Jim), Jackie (Dominic), and Eddie (Rod); his ten grandchildren: James (Samantha), Brittany, Megan (Matthew), Julia (Sam), Courtney (Blair), Gregory, Anderson, Justin (Crystal), Dylan, and Chantelle; and his great-granddaughter, Honey.
Also mourning his loss are his brother Fred (Louise), sister-in-law Marie, brother-in-law Truman (Shirley), Gordon Chambers, and his special great-nephews, Mitchel and Aaron.
Edward is predeceased by his beloved wife, Margaret; his parents, Walter and Emma; his sisters, Rhoda (Malcolm) and Adelaide (Ben); his parents-in-law Aunt Marg and uncle Edgar.
Though our hearts are broken, we take comfort in knowing that his spirit lives on—not only in the family he loved so dearly but in every life he touched. His love will never leave us; it is woven into the lessons he taught, the memories he created, and the legacy he leaves behind.
Visitation is being held at the funeral home in St. Anthony on Sunday March 9th form 2-4 and 7-9pm followed by the funeral service at 2pm on Monday March 10 at the St. Mary’s Anglican Church in St. Anthony.
