It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Janice Patey on March 3rd, 2025 surrounded by her loving family at Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital.
Leaving to mourn is her loving husband Tony, sons Lyndon (Patsy) and Fraser (Megan). She will be missed by her loving grandchildren who she cherished—Sophia, McKenna and James. Janice leaves behind her siblings Mervin Patey (Danny), Hope Muliner, Kie Patey, Angela Sexton, Gene Patey (Bridget), and Dexter Patey (Edith); her in-laws Marie Patey, Lindsay Patey (Darlene), Ken Patey (Paula) and Boyd Patey. She also had many cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and her work family at Shoppers Choice—all who she loved dearly.
Jan is predeceased by her parents, Olive and Herbert Patey, sister Sara Rushdi, brother-in-laws George Sexton and Russ Rushdi, Bob Muliner and father-in-law Lloyd Patey.
There will be a private wake at Kerry M Fillatre Funeral home for Janice’s close family and friends on Thursday, March 6th from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Jan’s private funeral service will also take place on Friday, March 7th at 2pm at Kerry M Fillatre Funeral Home with Major Stokes officiating.
