Dredge, Donald
March 13th, 1946 – March 21st, 2024
Passed peacefully away in the presence of his family at the Charles. Curtis Memorial in St. Anthony, on March 21st, 2024, at the age of 78.
Donald was born in Black Duck Cove to Walter and Maria Dredge. He moved to Green Island Cove in 1974 with his wife Ruby and his two daughters Patsy and Pam.
He was a very hard-working man that supported his family in every way possible. He was “Jack of all Trades”, worked as an iron worker for numerous years, crusher operator with Lundrigan’s. He retired after working with Provincial Paving at the age of 67.
He leaves to mourn with many fond memories his beloved wife Ruby, his children Patsy (Andrew) and Pam. Grandchildren Ryan, Robert (Taylor), Bree, Alexis, Amber, A.J, Robby and his sister Joscelyn (Walter).
He is predeceased by his father Walter and mother Maria, Brothers; Wallace, George, Sisters; Blanche, Kitty, Enid, and Vivian.
Special thanks go out to the staff at Curtis Memorial Hospital, his two nieces Daphne and Danette, his two caretakers Irene and Jill.
Visitation took place at the St. Andrew’s Anglican Church in Lower Cove on March 23rd to the 24th with the funeral service held at 11am on march 25th with Rev. Cannon Vernon Short officating.
Funeral services were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatres funeral homes, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Lee Nippard Funeral Director.
