May 19, 1944 - March 6, 2022
It is with profound sadness that the family of Claude Dempster announce his passing on March 6th, 2022 at the Health Sciences Center in St. Johns.
Claude was born on May 19, 1944 to John and Amy Dempster in Flower’s Cove. He married his love, Mary White on April 18th, 1968 and together they raised 3 wonderful sons and were blessed with 4 grandchildren. During the course of his life Claude had many careers in many locations with his most recent being on the water hauling lobsters in his fishing boat. His favorite places to be were on the water, in the woods and with his family. Claude was a hard working, busy man and could most often be found working on his wharf, in his sheds or on various carpentry projects in his home, cabin or sons homes in Alberta. Claude loved to laugh, joke, enjoy life and was known to tell a tale or two when presented with the opportunity. He had a wonderful sense of humor. He made a lasting impression, was loved and put a smile on the faces of all who knew him. He leaves to mourn and will be greatly missed by his wife Mary, sons Claude (Lisa), Toby and Raymond (Melissa); grandchildren Nicholas, Jordan, Trinity and Kiana.
He is survived by his brothers Clyde (June), Don (Cicely) and Harold and sister Katherine; Sister in laws Hazel, Beulah and Yvonne; Brother in law John and special niece DeeDee (Steve, Kaiden, Konnor and Kenzie) as well as a large circle of extended family and friends.
