December 4th, 1935 - January 29th, 2022
It's with heavy hearts that the family of Sarah Way (White) announce her sudden passing at Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony, NL on the night of Jan. 29th, 2022. She leaves to remember her with loving memories, her children Judy, Joy (Wayne), and Darryl (Kim). Grandchildren Launa, Pelle (Holly), Mitch (Trisha), Paige (Eddie), Owen, and Chloe (Dylan). Great-grandchildren Lucas, Oakley, Ashton and Kaseon. Sister-in-laws Edna and Hazel, brother-in-law John as well as many special nieces and nephews. Sarah was predeceased by her loving husband George, parents Stephen and Clara, baby son Matthew, son-in-law Alonzo, and twelve siblings.
Sarah was the baby of her family, grew up in Sandy Cove and moved to Savage Cove like her sisters Louisa and Gladys where they raised their families. She lived a life of service, love and kindness to others. She was all about taking care of someone else.
She loved her family and friends, cooking, walks, playing cards, doing puzzles, her cell phone, the crust of bread for burnt toast, knitting, watching Team Gushue, hugs, chef salads, jackets, a good cup of tea and so much more.
Thank you to everyone who was good to her in her life. Special thanks to friends, residents and staff at Ivy Durley for making it feel like home. She certainly enjoyed all the opportunities for cards and walks. Sarah never wanted anyone fussing over her, soft spoken, strong, thankful and made the best dressing. So loved and will be missed by many. Her positivity, faith and resilience will forever be admired.
Cremation to take place, visitation and funeral details to be announced at a later date. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Kerry M Fillatre Funeral Home, St. Anthony and Roddickon.
