Evelyn Jane Adams (nee Pilgrim) was born in St. Lewis to Wesley and Clara Pilgrim on June 15th, 1939. She married Harold and together they raised seven children, Patricia, Mary, Oral, Calvin, Waddell, Joan and Bert. She was blessed with 22 grandchildren and a large number of great grandchildren. Evelyn was a remarkable lady with a heart of gold and she loved her family unconditionally. She loved to cook for her family and everyone loved her homemade bread. She also loved to knit. She was well known for her kindness and generosity and she was always there to lend a helping hand to all. Evelyn Leaves to Mourn, her Sons, Oral, Calvin (Lisa), Waddell (Gaye), Bert (Robyn); Daughters, Patricia (Stafford), Mary (Randy), Joan (Glenn); Brothers, Eric, Albert, Fredrick, Murdock, Leonard & Leon; Sisters, Betty, Millicent & Alice; 22 Grandchildren; 16 Great Grandchildren and a large circle of other relatives and close friends. Evelyn was Predeceased by her Husband, Harold Adams; Parents, Wesley & Clara Pilgrim; Brothers, Aubrey & Samuel; Sisters, Lavenia & Blanche. Visitation was held from the Pentecostal Faith Tabernacle in St. Lunaire-Griquet from where the funeral was held on Tuesday, December 4th, 2018 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Harnum officiating. Interment followed. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre’s Funeral Home, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Lee Nippard Funeral Director.
