Passed away November 30th, 2018 from the Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony at the age of 38 years. Rockey will be remembered by so many people, he had a great love for his family, friends and caretakers. Everyone who met Rockey had a story to tell. He never forgot your name, your children’s name or your cat and dog’s name. The past ten years, he visited the hospital frequently for dialysis. During his time there, he came to know many of the nurses and staff, and loved them all dearly. Dialysis makes many people tired- but not Rockey. He would go to darts, visit family, friends, and chat on the phone all night. In his short life of thirty eight years he enjoyed life to the fullest. There was never a dull moment when he was around, he will be sorely missed by everyone he knew. Rockey will be remembered by, Melvin and Helena Genge, Jamie, Shelley, Alexis, and Anna Tucker, Evelyn Genge and the large circle of family and friends that his life touched. Visitation was held from the Anglican Church in Anchor Point from where the family service was held on Tuesday, November 4th, 2018 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Omar Reyes officiating. Interment followed. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre’s Funeral Home, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Alicia Patey, Funeral Director.
