CHAMBERS, WINSTON CHURCHILL

Wince was born on Oct. 7, 1940 to Absalom and Elizabeth Chambers of Blue Cove. He grew up in Blue Cove with his twelve brothers and sisters: Ruth, Stedman, Curtis, Stella, William, Virginia, Caroline, Jane, Wilfred, Sophia, Doreen and… a brother from another mother, Absalom. Wince met and married Sandra Pittman of Blue Cove on May 19, 1967. They had three children; Pamie (Eddie), Winston Churchill Junior (Cora), Shawn (Caroline) along with two grandchildren, Liam and Reanna who he dearly loved. Wince loved being a fisherman, he loved music and playing his guitar. His favorite color was green and his favorite hockey team was the Montreal Canadians. Wince passed peacefully away at the Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony. He will be sadly missed by a large circle of family and friends. We would like to thank our family from St. Mary’s Bay, Point Leamington, and L’Anse-au-Loup who traveled to be with us.We would like to express our sincerest appreciation for all your love and support during this difficult time. We are forever grateful for your kindness and generosity. “If you can remember me, I will always be with you” Winston leaves to mourn his wife Sandra; Children Pam (Ed), Junior (Cora), Shawn (Caroline); Grandchildren Liam and Reanna; and Siblings Caroline (Ralph), Wilfred, Sophia, and Doreen. Funeral Services were held 2:00 pm on Tuesday, January 12, 2016 from the Church of the Advent in Plum Point with Rev. Harold Harvey officiating. Interment followed in the Pond Cove Anglican Cemetery.
