Valma Myra Burden was born in St. Lunaire to Jacob and Blanche Bussey on June 11, 1934. She married Graham Burden and together they raised nine children. They were also blessed with nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren. One of Valma's favourite places in St. Lunaire, was in her kitchen preparing meals for the people she loved the most, her family, who were known to eat there daily. She was an early riser who often had her homemade bread baked by breakfast. She loved going for rides with her prince in his chariot and let’s just say that Mary Browns has lost one of its biggest supporters. Her smile had the ability to light up a room and to fill a gathering with warmth. She never sought praise but we could never praise her enough. She will forever be loved, remembered and cherished. If love could have saved her, she never would have died.
