BRIDGER, CALEB GEORGE

November 11, 1940 - October 23, 2023

Passed away on October 23, 2023 at the Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital at the age of 82 years.

He leaves to mourn his Sons: Bradley (Shirley), William (Sherry), and Garfield (Linda); Daughter: Belinda (Mike); Sisters: Louise (Carl), Margaret, Phillip (Irene); Grandchildren: Brian (Sherilynn), Danielle, Sheldon (Erica), Kyle, Alyssa, Allie; Great-grandchildren: Kobe, Kylie, Kalen, Irelynn; Long-time friends: Margaret Mitchell, Wayne and Audrey Hillier, and family as well as many other extended family and friends.

He is predeceased by his wife, Loretta; Parents: William and Sarah Bridger; Sisters: Madeline (Hector), Gloria, Annie (Archibald), Rita, Elizabeth (Benjamin); and Brother: John.

Visitation to take place from the All Saints Anglican Church in Dark Tickle beginning the evening of Wednesday, October 25, 2023 and will continue on Thursday, October 26, 2023. The funeral will take place on Friday, October 27, 2023 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Kinsella and Rev. Larkin officiating. Interment to follow.

PARSONS, VERA MAY

It is with regret and great sadness that the family of Vera Parsons announce her passing at the age of 90 years. Vera was born in Wesleyville and moved to Griquet at the age of 9 years. She met and married Everett Parsons and together they raised seven children. Vera was a very independent woman whose dedicated her life to caring for other people and dearly loved her children. They were her life’s focus. Vera faced many challenges in her life from losing her father at a very young age, and was a caregiver to many, never complaining and took life as it was handed to her. She lived independently on her own for the past 22 years up to a week before her passing. She leaves to mourn her children; Lloyd (Rhoda), Stella (George), Louise, Bill (Yvonne), Donna (John), Kathy and Chad (Lin); grandchildren Berni (Todd), Marion (Nelson), Brad, Perry (Pam), Todd (Sherry), Billy (D.iane), Kristen (Simon), and Stephen (Michelle); great-grandchildren Gabe, Bailey, Blaine, Gabriel, Isaac, Zachary, Dorian, Mela, Brooklyn, Braylon, and Braxton. The funeral service will take place at All Saints Anglican Church in St. Lunaire-Griquet on Saturday, August 10th at 2:00 pm with Deacon Arthur Kinsella officiating and interment to follow in the Anglican Church Cemetery. Flowers will be graciously accepted or donations may be made to the All Saints Anglican Church Fund. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. BARTLETT, CHARLOTTE EFFIE (Nee Clark)

May 2, 1936 - May 26, 2019

Born May 2nd, 1936 to Douglas and Ester Ann Clark of Bolsters Rock, Labrador. At a very early age age was place in the orphanage in Cartwright where she went to work at the hospital at the age of 13 as a cook and cleaner. At the age of 19 she came to Newfoundland with Fannie and Annie Hedderson and this is where she met the love of her life, Douglass Bartlett. On May 17, 1956 they married and had 8 children. Her life was filled with loving and providing for her family. She was one of the best at fulfilling this job. She was the kind of woman that welcomes everyone and did what she could for them. You could never leave her home without a cup of tea. She leaves to mourn with a lifetime of memories, her Sons, Donald (Wavey), David (Kettie), Frank (Doris), Richard; Daughters, Barbara (Ross), Lilly (Dennis), Judy (Randolph), Wanda (Steve); Grandchildren, Damien, Jordan, Caitlin, Ladine (Corey), Andrew, Shannon (Michelle), Cheryl (Ryan), Jason (Shawna), Catrina (Sheldon), Stacey (Ian), Paul, Stephanie, Vanessa (Jonathan); Great-grandchildren, Kailey, Kera, Jayden, Jake, Amy, Grady, Leo, Luke, Sharaya, Lacey, Roman as well as a large circle of extended family and friends. Charlotte was predeceased by her Husband, Douglas Bartlett and her sisters, Blanch Roberts and Phoebe Pardy. Visitation to be held from the All Saints Anglican Church in Dark Tickle beginning the afternoon of Tuesday, May 28, 2019 and will continue until the funeral on Thursday, May 30th, 2019 at 2:00 pm with Rec. Deacon Arthur Kinsella officiating. Interment to follow.

MITCHELL, FANNY ELLEN

Passed away on July 6th, 2017 at Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony at the age of 85 years. Visitation was held from the All Saints Anglican Church in Dark Tickle from where the the funeral took place on Monday, July 10th, 2017 with Rev. Katie Flynn officiating. Interment followed in the Quirpon Community Cemetery. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre's Funeral Home, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Siobhan Ebukwe Funeral Director.

HILLIER, VIOLET CLARA

Passed away at the Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital on the 28th day of April 2017. Mrs. Violet Clara Hillier of St. Lunaire – Griquet was in her 75th year. She leaves to mourn with loving memoires her husband Carl, her Two Children Doris(Frank) and Eileen(Shawn), Grandchildren Travis(Angela), Lyton(Chelsea), Jordan and Caitlin, Great Grandchildren Tori and Kelly as well as large circle of extended family and friends. Visitation was held at the Anglican church in Dark Tickle from which the funeral was held on Tuesday May 2nd, 2017 at 2:00pm with Rev. Katie Flynn Officiating. ELMS, LEWIS REGINALD

Passed peacefully away at the Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital on the 5th day of September 2015, Mr. Lewis Elms of St. Lunaire-Griquet was in his 90th year. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Jessie, Daughters Joan (Art), Jean (Barry), Dawn (Ron), Grandchildren Stefan (Dixie-Lee) and Kayla (Devon), as well as a large circle of family and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Luke and Bertha Elms, four Brothers and his Four Sisters. Visitation was held at the All Saints Anglican church in Dark Tickle from which the funeral service was held at 2:00pm on Tuesday September 8, 2015 with Rev. Harold Harvey and Lay Readers Alf and Maude Larkin officiating. Interment followed in the Anglican Cemetery in Dark Tickle, Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M.
