MITCHELMORE, CURTIS LANCELOT

September 15, 1933 – March 29, 2020

Curtis passed away peacefully on March 29, 2020, in his home surrounded by his children, grandchildren and fur baby. Curtis was born in 1933 in Green Island Cove, Newfoundland to Austin and Eliza Mitchelmore.  Curtis married Naomi Mugford in 1954; together, they had 3 children and they created a loving home for their children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and fur baby. He will be remembered for his work ethic and sense of humor. He leaves behind his loving Wife Naomi; children Delilah (Harold) Rose, Rebecca ( late Harvey) Mitchelmore, Wade Sr (Sarah) Mitchelmore; grandchildren Kim (Trent), Ken (Rosie), Della (Marc), Wade Jr (Marissa); great-grandchildren Trisha, Tia, Kendra, AJ, Kira, Karley, Weston and William; his best friend his fur baby, Charlee; sisters Cora Mitchelmore, Nellie (Norman) Parrill and Eliza ( late John) Parrill; and sister-in-law Marina (Albert) Applin  . He will be missed by them all. The family extends its deepest gratitude to his personal care workers Carmel, Jenette, Janet and Cindy who provided him with the best care and compassion in his last few years. We also thank the nurses, doctors and paramedics at the Strait of Belle Isle Healthcare center who helped care for and provide us with guidance during his final weeks so he was able to stay at home with his family and friends.  As per Curtis’ request cremation has been entrusted to K. M. Fillatre Funeral Home in St. Anthony. Due to the Public Health Advisory of COVID-19 no visitation or ceremony will take place at this time. A visitation and celebration of his life will take place at a later date. 

McLEAN, AUREALIA

born April 17th, 1929, passed away August 30th, 2017 at the Sir Rufus Guinchard Health Center at the age of 88 years. Mourned and remembered with love by her family; daughters Sybil (Desmond) MacArthur, Hazareth (George) Kelly, Louise (Pat) Rumbolt, Irene (Herold) Macey, Shirley (Dylan) Rumbolt, Rosie (Colby) Cullinghall; Sons Roland (Joyce), Leslie (Penny), Lambert (Helen), Primus (Pearl); Sons-in-law John Macey and Michael Gibbons as well as a large circle of Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Raymond; Daughters Sarah and Augustine; Parents Eugene and Sarah Parrill; Son in Law Desmond MacArthur; Sister Elizabeth Jane Crane; and special nephews Nelson Crane. Visitation was held from St. Andrews Anglican Church in Lower Cove from where the funeral took place on Saturday September 2, 2017 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Omar Reyes officiating. McLEAN, EVERTON

Passed away May 5th, 2017 at Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital at the age of 75 years. He leaves to mourn, his Wife Evelyn; Children Dalton (Colleen) McLean, Garrison (Manette) McLean, Faith (Jamie) Payne; Grandchildren Everton Jr (Karen) McLean, Garett (Anna) McLean, Brittany McLean, Alex (Amy) McLean, Andrew (Bianca) McLean, Justin Payne, Ryan (Danielle) Payne; Great-Grandchildren Gabrielle McLean, Lincoln McLean, Russell McLean. Adrian McLean, Alexander McLean; Brother Baxter McLean; Sister Pearl (Stewart) Mitchelmore, as well as a wide circle of family and friends. Everton was predeceased by his Parents Leonard and Beatrice McLean as well as his sisters Virtue McLean and Belinda Hughes. Visitation was held at the St. Andrew’s Anglican Church in Lower Cove from where the funeral was held on Monday, May 8th, 2017 at 11:00 am with Rev. Omar Reyes officiating. Visitation was held at St. Andrews Anglican Church in Lower Cove, From Which the Funeral Service was held at 2:00pm on the 2nd of November with Rev. Marlene Harvey Officiating. MITCHELMORE, STEDMAN

Passed Away peacefully at the Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony on the 10th of April 2014 at the age of 83 years, Mr. Stedman Mitchelmore of Green Island Cove. Stedman leaves to mourn his children Mona (Baxter), Marie (Terrance), Clifford (Betty), Leona (Gary), Vina, Patsy, Jouce (Roland), and Ramsey (Angela). as well his sister Marina, Brothers Claude and Stewart and 14 Grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and 5 Great Great Grandchildren. Stedman lived to see the passing of his wife Amy, parents john and Alice, brother William Henry, and sisters Celia and Dolorez. The Visitation was held at St. Andrews Anglican Church in Lower Cove, From Which the funeral service took place at 2:00pm on Saturday April 12th, 2014 with Rev. Letto and lay person Maxine Hughes officiating. burial followed in the Anglican cemetery in Green Island Cove. Funeral Arrangements Were entrusted to Kerry M. Passed away in to peace on the 7th day of September 2013 at the Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony in her 98th Year, Mrs. Lavenia Mitchelmore of Sandy Cove.  Thankful for a lifetime of love and memories are her son Byron (Emma), daughter Bernette (Robert), daughter in law Virtue, Grandchildren Sheila (Wallace), Donald (Myrtle), Rose (Paul), Maitland, Amanda (Claude), Colette (David), Winsor (Lisa), Shane (Jeannette), Shauna, Richard, and Heather. Great Grandchildren Sheldon (Marilyn), Philip (Terri), Aaron, Mitchel, Sean, Kelly, Kaitlyn, Brittany, Shayna, and Shelly, Great Great Grandchildren Sheldon (Kayla), Austin, Bryanna, Kyla, Montana, Austin. Lavenia was predeceased by her husband Norman, sons Maitland and Winsor, daughters Amanda and Rowena, parents Isaac and Leah, her sister Marie, and brothers Walter, Lawrence and Percy.  Visitation was held at St. Andrews Anglican Church in Lower Cove, from which the funeral service took place at 2:00pm on September the 9th with Rev. Marlene Harvey and Lay Person Joyce White officiating. Burial followed in the Anglican Cemetery in Green Island Cove. Funeral arrangements where entrusted to Kerry M.
