COLBOURNE, WINSTON WHYMAN

It is with great sadness that the family of Winston Whyman Colbourne announce his passing on Saturday, February 10th of 2024 at the Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital in his 80th year.

Winston Whyman was born on October 9, 1943 to Harvey and Maude(Bartlett) Colbourne of L’Anse Aux Meadows. He was the oldest of 11 Children. He spent most of his life fishing and working, where he made many friends along the way. He met the love of his life, Eliza (Tucker) and they married on December 22, 1963. Together they had three children, Whyman, Irene and Robert. He was also blessed with three grandchildren Jillian, Christopher and Christa, as well as three great-grandsons Liam, Jack and Ben, who he loved dearly.

Winston leaves to mourn, his wife Eliza, daughter Irene (Cliff), granddaughters Jillian (Andrew) and Christa, great-grandsons Liam, Jack and Ben, sisters Emma and Hazel, brothers Goward, Clayton and Lester, mother-in-law, Delilah, as well as a large circle of family and friends.

He was pre-deceased by his parents, Harvey and Maude, sons Whyman and Robert, daughter-in-law Diane, grandson Christopher, brothers Clifford, Wayne and Harvey, sisters Faye and Selma, and father-in-law Selby.

Visitation to take place from the Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral Home in St. Anthony beginning on Monday February 12th from 7 to 9 pm with a funeral service at 2pm on Tuesday February 13th from the Bethel Pentecostal Church with Pastor Jeff Elliott officiating. Cremation to follow with burial to take place at later date.

NOSEWORTHY, WHYMAN

July 3, 1942 - June 7, 2023

Whyman was a hard worker all his life; he spent many years working in the fish plant and then as a woodsman. Whyman enjoyed playing cards with his family and friends. He also enjoyed riding his bike and his ski-doo. His greatest love and joy was spending time with his family, his face would light up whenever they came to visit.

Whyman passed away on June 7, 2023 at his home in Lower Cove at the age of 80 years.

Whyman will be forever loved and missed by his loving wife of 61 years; Mamiellen; Daughter: Minnie; Sons: Whyman (Melanie), Jeffery (Sheila), Colin (Tonya), Perry Vernon (Tiffany); Grandchildren: Danielle (Kent), Dana (Jordan), Molly (Joel), Tiffany (Darin), Brooke (Dylan), Kiana, Braedon, Kaden, Kameron, Damien (Steph), Paul (Dawn); Great-grandchildren: Jaden, Logan, Nevaeh, Lexi, Brady, Dylan, Kash, Kaya, Maeve; as well as many nieces, nephews, other extended family and friends.

He is predeceased by his Parents: Absalom and Mary Noseworthy; Granddaughter; Briana Noseworthy; Brother: Roland Noseworthy; In-laws: Elizabeth and Azariah McLean; Brother-in-laws: James McLean, Norman McLean, and Leslie McLean Sr.

Visitation will be held at St. Andrews Anglican Church in Lower Cove Beginning in the afternoon on Friday June 9th, 2023 and continuing through to the memorial service on Monday, June 12th, 2023, at 2:00 PM with Rev. Canon Vernon Short officiating.

WILLIAMS, WHYMAN

Passed away on October 24th, 2017 at the Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony at the age of 57 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his partner Michelle; Son Dylan; Stepsons Ryan and Jeff; Grandkids Jade, Autumn, Parker, and Kirsty; Sisters Caroline, Vivian, Yvonne (Lambert); Brothers George (Judy), Stephen (Rachel), Cornelious; Mother and Father in law Pat and Angela Walsh; Sisters and Brothers in Law as well as extended family and friends. Whyman was predeceased by his Father and Mother Hubert and Jane Williams. Visitation took place from St. Mary’s Anglican Church in Black Duck Cove from where the funeral was held on October 27th, 2017 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Katie Flynn officiating.
