ANDREWS, WESLEY ROY

April 10, 1949 - July 3, 2023

Wesley Roy Andrews was born April 10, 1949 to John and Daphne (Tucker) Andrews in Ship Cove.

At a very young age Wes fished with his father before going to work at the fish plant in Trepassy. It was here that he married and his son Kevin was born. He then settled in Ship Cove and worked in the fish plant in St. Anthony. After that he spent many summers working at construction jobs in Labrador.

In later years he spent all his time in Ship Cove fishing, getting mussels, and cutting wood. He and his dear friend Carrie especially loved picking berries.

Wesley leaves to mourn, his son: Kevin; Brothers: Garl (Hazel), Gus (Jean), Lloyd (Janet), Alonzo (Diane), Dennis (Margy); Sisters: Marjorie, Millicent, June; and special friend: Carrie.

He is predeceased by his Parents: John and Daphne (Tucker) Andrews as well as Sisters: Dulcie Pynn, Mabel Eddison, and Nina Swanson

COLBOURNE, WESLEY

Passed away at the White Bay Central Health Center on the 13th of June, 2015, Mr. Wesley Colbourne of Roddickton in his 80th year.  left to mourn is passing are his sons Gary (Violet), Alvin, Lorne (Lucinda), Austin, Terry (Belinda), Keith (Lisa), daughters Ivy (Guy), Rita (Stephen), Wavey (Wayne), 23 grandchildren and 13 Great grandchildren. Wesley was pre deceased by his wife Ida, Parents Gideon and Mary-Ann, son Wesley Jr., Sister Blanche Fillier, Brothers Harvey Colbourne, Jack Colbourne, Kenneth Colbourne, and Richard Colbourne. visitation was held at the Pentecostal Church in Roddickton, from which the funeral service was held at 3:00pm on Tuesday June 16th, 2015, with Pastor Benjamin Brown officiating. burial followed the service in the Roddickton Pentecostal Cemetery. Funeral Services were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatres Funeral home, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Lee Nippard Funeral Director. 

EDDISON, WESLEY

Passed peacefully away at the Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital on the 22nd day of October 2014. Mr. Wesley Eddison of noddy bay was in his 73rd year. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Winnifred, Sons Dwayne(Shirley), Sheldon(Tracey), Barry (Kelly), Daughters Jackie and Tanya (David) Baker, Grandchildren Marcel, Amanda, Dayna, Hayward, Stefan, April, Aaron, Alexander, Erin, and Ethan, Great Grandchildren Victoria, Shayden, Jaxon, and Layla, Brother Francis(Selma) as well as other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Walter and Victoria, Brothers Nimrod and Ambrose, Sisters Mary Ann Blake, Sarah Jane Bishop, Bertha, Johanna Hillier and Blanche Hedderson. Visitation was held at the Central United Church on the 24th day of October 2014 from which the service was held at 2:00pm on the 25th day of October 2014 with Rev. Gus Pendleton officiating. Interment followed in the Quirpon Community Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre’s Funeral Homes, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Lee Nippard Funeral Director.

LODER, DORA

Passed away peacefully at home after a lengthy illness, with her family by her side, Mrs. Dora Loder of Cooks Harbour in her 84th year.  Left to mourn are daughters Marilyn (partner Ted Blanchard) and Ida (husband Fred Berry), brother Wilfred Elliott, Sister in law Phyllis Loder, many nieces, nephews and friends especially Wavey Loder who provided many years of support.  Dora was predeceased by Husband Harvey Loder. Visitation was held at the Wesley United church in Cooks Harbour, From which the funeral service was conducted at 2:00pm on Wednesday July 23rd with Pastor Gus Pendleton officiating. Burial followed the funeral at the Cooks Harbour United Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Wesley United Church, Cook's Harbour.
