Passed away October 28, 2018 at the Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital at the age of 92 years. She leaves to mourn with a lifetime of memories, her Brother Bill; Children, Annie (Lloyd), Aubrey (Judy), May (Reg), Jean (Bruce), Roger (Audrey), Marie (Tony), Sharron (John), Yvonne (Ed), Renee (Neil), and Randy; 24 grandchildren; 29 greatgrandchildren; 2 great-greatgrandchildren; as well as a large circle of family and friends. Mrs. Cull is predeceased by her husband, Freeman Cull; Son, Calvin Cull; Parents, Jessie and Aubrey Saunders; and ten of her siblings. Visitation was held from Kerry M. BUNGAY, MARION JULIA

March 3, 1929 – September 23, 2018

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Marion Julia Bungay announce her passing on Sunday, September 23, 2018. Marion leaves to mourn her Daughters; Rosalind (Bill Barney), Phyllis Bungay, Darlene (Melvin Pearce), as well as “daughter by another mother” Melina Ropson; Sons, Frank Bungay, Eric (Charlene), Leon (Daisy); Grandchildren, Sylvia, Colin , Mark, Kelsey and Sammie, Cody and Travis; Greatgrandchildren, Patrick, Shayna, Dakota, Mckenzie, Cameron, Tegan and Jeremy, Carly, Carter, Charlee and Sophia’ and one Great-greatgrandchild, Rhyder. Marion was also a Grandmother figure to Mary Louise and Madelyn, Michael and Dawn as well as Cassandra and Brandon. Also left to mourn are Sister Maude (Alf Larkin), Sister-in-law Madeline Bungay, Brother and sister in law Harold and Hilda Bungay, sister in law Edna Ford and Dear friends Pricilla Parrill, and Gary and Madonna Chaulk. She was predeceased by husband Samuel, Brother Simeon, and Grandchildren Nathan and Andrew. Visitation took place from Kerry M. Fillatre’s Funeral Home in St. Anthony. ROPSON, PEARL ANITA

Passed away May 4th, 2018 at Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital at the age of 84 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her Daughters Wanda and Melina; Sons, Wayne (Geraldine), Rick (Gaye), Austin (Ginette), Lot (Christine), David (Joanne); Sisters and Brothers, Hazel, Pearce, and Clarence (Amelia); Grandchildren, Bobby Trudy, Travis, Candida, Hiram, Mary Louise, Madelyn, Jordan, Jack, Emily, and Leanna as well as a large circle of family and friends. WOODWARD, ROBERT

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Robert Woodward announce his passing on March 19th, 2018 at Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony at the age of 64 years. He leaves to mourn one daughter, Ananda (Glen) and one granddaughter, Sierra. He also leaves to mourn seven sisters; Clara (Hedley), Rowena, Dulcie (Wayne), Carrie (Thomas), Juanita, Joanne, Jennifer (Rob); 2 brothers, Earl (Gloria), Garfield; one very special cousin, Una Elliott; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Also, a special thank you to Wallace Woodward. Roberts was predeceased by his parents Abe and Blanche Woodward. PITTMAN, LLOYD

Passed away on February 8th, 2018 at the Health Science Centre in St. John’s NL at the age of 62 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife and best friend Elsie; his ray of sunshine Mackenzie Short; Brothers Wayne (Vina), Dean (Clara); Sister Joan (Glen); best friends Dorothy and Gerald Short; his nieces and nephews (his loved for children was evident in his pride for his nieces and nephews) as well as other extended family and friends. He will be loved and missed by many. Lloyd was predeceased by his parents Glossen and Dulcie Pitman, and his parents in Law, Jacob and Gertrude Campbell. Visitation was held from St. Matthew’s Anglican Church in Cooks Harbour from where the funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 13th, 2018 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Katie officiating. PYNN, JANIE MAY

It is with broken hearts we announce the passing of our beautiful mother Janie May Pynn (Worthman), on January 25th, 2018. Janie was born in Heart's Delight, Trinity Bay. She was a woman filled with generosity, kindness and gentleness of spirit.  There are no words that can convey how blessed we, her children, were to have her as our mom. She loved her family with a sacrificial love and we loved her so deeply and completely. She was predeceased by her husband Baxter Pynn. She leaves to mourn her five children, Hilda Gushue, Rona Bowers (Bill), Randy Pynn (Velma), Patsy Geroux, Barry Pynn (Shauna); 9 Grandchildren, Jason Blake (Aleksandra), Dana Blake, Chris Bowers (Regina), Candace Hillier (Cameron), Stephanie Boden (Randy), Victoria Pynn (Josh), Robyn Hynes, Adam Pynn (Nikki), Megan Pynn and nine Great-Grandchildren, Hanna, Robert, Alexander, Luke, Victoria, Olivia, Adam, Ryder and Bronwyn, Her Sisters Marie Blackwood and Sadie Brampton and Special Friends Chester and Elsie Slade. EVANS, GILBERT ROSS

Passed away January 18th 2018 from the Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony at the age of 61 years. Gilbert was born on February 10th, 1956 to Lewis and Grace Evans in St. Anthony NL. He married his best friend and love of his life, Joyce, on October 4th, 1975 in Corner Brook. Together they had three children; Felicia, Patricia, and Blair as well as five grandchildren; Tristan, Chloe, Jaelyn, Kaden, and Sophia. In the summer of 2016 Gilbert moved back to his hometown from many years of working away to pursue his dream job as Town Foreman with the Town of St. Anthony. Gilbert loved his job and working with the crew at the town hall, he even worked at his most painful times of his illness. Gilbert was exceptionally talented when it came to fixing cars, trucks, or anything with a motor- or not in it (he would make one). Gilbert spent many years as a heavy equipment operator and even once owned his own garage in Raleigh. Gilbert was a true family man and a loyal friend who enjoyed life to the fullest. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife and best friend of 43 years, Joyce; his cherished children, Felicia (Jamie), Patricia (Blair), Blair (Vivian); five beautiful grandchildren, Tristan, Chloe, Jaelyn, Kaden, Sophia; Sisters, Faye (Cecil), Debbie, Lenora, Violet; Brothers, Alfred (Frances), William; Mother in law Hilda and Father in law Thomas Smith; Brother in law Terry (Linda); Sisters in law Shirley (Jeff), Peggy, Pansy; Special Cousin Velma Pynn as well as a large circle of family and friends. passed away on December 20th 2017 from Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital at the age of 66 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband Cyril; daughter Stacey (Danny); Grandson Jordan; Step-daughter and step-son Jackie and David; Siblings Winston, Bernard (Jean), Pearce (Pricilla), Elizabeth, Calvin (Violet), Dudley, Martha (Desmond), Leaton (Mary Ellen), Sandra, Joseph (Darlene), Shawn (Mary), as well as a large circle of extended family and friends. Burnette was predeceased by her parents Leaton and Sybil Johnson, mother and father in law Stephen and Elizabeth Street, as well as her brother in law Hedley Andrews. Passed away on October 24th, 2017 at the Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony at the age of 57 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his partner Michelle; Son Dylan; Stepsons Ryan and Jeff; Grandkids Jade, Autumn, Parker, and Kirsty; Sisters Caroline, Vivian, Yvonne (Lambert); Brothers George (Judy), Stephen (Rachel), Cornelious; Mother and Father in law Pat and Angela Walsh; Sisters and Brothers in Law as well as extended family and friends. Whyman was predeceased by his Father and Mother Hubert and Jane Williams. Visitation took place from St. Mary’s Anglican Church in Black Duck Cove from where the funeral was held on October 27th, 2017 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Katie Flynn officiating. RICHARDS, TERRY BRIAN

Passed away September 18th, 2017 in Cambridge Ontario at the age of 46 years. Brian was born to Freeman and Florence on March 7, 1971. He graduated high school in 1989. On September 18, 1995 Brian and his brother Herman moved to Ontario in search of work. He later returned to NL where he attended college in Stephenville. Shortly after college he returned to Ontario. Brian loved being around his friends and adored his family. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his parents Freeman and Florence; Sister Roxanne (Kelsey); Brothers Ivan (Sandy), Jason (Joyce) and Herman (Teraceta); Nephews Marcus, Gregory, Riley, Donovan and Rodney; Nieces Madison and Emma; Aunts and Uncles Willis (shirley) Whyatt, Neine (Richard) Mitch­elmore, Nina Hill, Ben Denney, Hedley (Faye) Richards, Harrison (Judy) Richards, Hubert (Barbara) Richards, Lester (Viona) Rich­ards, Alma (Wayne) Burden, David (Jackie) Richards, Penny Kin­sella, Ben (Neta) Richards, Patsy (David) Mugford, Leona (Richard) Richards, Scott (Debbie) Richards & Pam (Brad) Whitten.
