EDDISON, JANET

May 21st 1963- February 1st, 2025

It is with great sadness and broken hearts that we, the family of Janet Eddison announce her passing. Janet passed away peacefully on February 1st, 2025 at the Health Science Center in St. Johns surrounded by family.

Janet Eddison was born on May 21st, 1963 to Harvey and Rita Hillier of Griquet, NL, she was one of fourteen children. She moved to Noddy Bay and married the love of her life Arthur Eddison on May 22, 1981 and had three beautiful children that were her greatest accomplishment.

Janet leaves to mourn her three children, son Greg (Sherry); daughters Sheena (Ryan) and Nikki (Adam); grandchildren, Paityn, Ben, Jack and Conrad and mother-in-law Marion, along with a large circle of family and friends.

She is predeceased by her husband Art, parents Harvey and Rita, sisters Leona and Ruby and brothers Alvin, Wilfred and Dennis.

Public visitation will be held at Calvary Pentecostal Church on February 5, 2024 from 7:00-8:00 pm. With a celebration of life on February 6, 2025 at 2:00 pm with Pastors Geoff and Charity Butler officiating. Burial will follow the service at Quirpon Community Cemetery.

HEDDERSON, SARAH ELIZABETH

Sarah E. Hedderson, Born Feb. 22nd, 1925, passed into peace on the Dec. 26th of 2020 at her private residence in Straitsview NL. Sarah married Samuel Hedderson on April 5th, 1945. at Spillards Cove NL (Straitsview). Together they raised six children; Erdie, Bernard, Maysie, Carrie, Phillip, Shawn and Erdiel. Sarah worked as a house keeper in the early years and retired from fishing around age 61. She enjoyed the outdoors and spent a lot of time in the woods, gardening and Berry Picking. She also enjoyed knitting, crocheting, sewing and mat hooking. Sarah was a loving grandmother of 20 grandchildren. She also had a large number of great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Sarah will be lovingly missed by her family and a large circle of friends and relatives. She leaves to mourn Erdie Stroud, Bernard Hedderson, Maysie (Alvohn) Pilgrim, Carrie Beaufield, Phillip (Linda) Hedderson, Shawn Hedderson, and Erdie (Edward) Hynes. Sarah is also survived by her two sisters Florence Hedderson and Jessie Tucker. Sarah was predeceased by her husband Samuel, her parents Charles and Rebecca Decker, her daughter Edna, Her brothers Samuel, Avalock, Henry, Charles and Wilbert, her sisters Beulah and Bertha. The visitation and memorial service for Sarah was held at the funeral home in St. Anthony at 10am on the 30th of December, 2020 with Rev. Deacon Arthur Kinsella officiating, Burial followed in the Community Cemetery in Quirpon. Funeral services entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatres funeral home, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Alicia Patey Funeral director.

ROBERTS, JEAN MARIAH

Passed away peacefully at the John M. Gray Center in St. Anthony at the age of 92 years.  She leaves to mourn her daughters Frances (Israel), Grace; sons Hubert (Doris), Edward (Lavenia), Eli (Marlene), Albert (Triffena), Boyce (Michele), Alec (Lorri), Loren (Pansy); sisters Hazel, Violet, Shirley, Sanda; daughter-in-law Ena and 25 Grandchildren, 31 Great-grandchildren, and 1 Great-great-grandchild. She was predeceased by her husband Andrew, parents Herbert and Charlotte Rowbottom, Brothers James, Alec, Albert, and sons Calvin and Pierce. Visitation as held at the Central United Church, Quirpon branch from where the funeral service was held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, June 15, 2016 with Rev. Gus Pendleton officiating. Interment followed in the Quirpon Community Cemetery. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre’s Funeral Home, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Siobhan Mauger funeral director.

HEDDERSON, FRANCES CAROL

December 25, 1924 to March 16, 2016
It is with great sadness that the family of Frances Carol (Patey) Hedderson announces her passing on March 16, 2016 at the Charles Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony at the age of 91 years. Frances was born and raised in St. Anthony, and she went on to be a Teacher in North West River, and then Noddy Bay. It was in Noddy Bay that she met her husband Garland. They settled in Hay Cove and raised a family of twelve. Her most joyful moments were when all the family was home sitting around the kitchen table. Frances loved going to Church,
knitting, gardening and enjoying a game of Skip-Bo with family and friends. Left to Mourn: Children: Juanita, Winsor (Nellie), Alonzo (Thelma), Marilyn (Llewellyn), Bill (Barbara), Donna, Myra, Sharon (Erastus), Kenneth (Joy), Ted (Marina) Daughter-in-law: Ellen 23 Grandchildren and 30 Great-grandchildren Sister Amelia Dunphy Predeceased by: Husband: Garland Sons: Wayne and Thomas Sons-in-law: Rex, Reginald and Bernie Brother-in-law: Silas Grandchild: Angela Great-grandchild: Brandon Parents: Edith and William Patey Sister: Marie Brothers: Ruben and Ralph. visitation was held in the Central United Church, From which the funeral service was held at 2:00pm on Saturday March 19, 2016 with Rev. ROBERTS, ISAAC WILFRED

Wilfred Roberts was born in Hampden to Charles and Bertha (Elms).  His parents moved to Quirpon within a year of his birth.  When Wilfred was young, his mother died and he went to live with his older cousin Esther and her husband Charles Rice who raised him. On December 21, 1951 he married Evelyn Taylor of Raleigh.  They made their home in Quirpon raising their 6 children.  In 1972 they moved to St. Anthony as he worked with the Department of Highways.  After retirement they enjoyed time with their family, their cabins and gardens and attending The St. Anthony United Church.  On the morning of the 25th of February, 2016, Wilfred passed peacefully away.  He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Evelyn, children Marie (Ralph), Cecil (Jessie), Stafford (Patricia), Wavey (Dean), Keith (Marie), Kevin (Debbie), 19 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.  He is also survived by his brother George, many nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation was held at The funeral home in St. Anthony, After Which the funeral service took place at the St. Anthony United Church at 2:00pm on the 28th of February with Rev. Dinesh Gomes and Rev. John McGonigle officiating. burial followed in the Com unity Cemetery in Quirpon. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. PYNN, WILFRED

Passed peaceuflly away at Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital on July 22, 2014 Mr. Wilfred Pynn, of Quirpon, at the age of 79. predeceased by his wife Margaret, son in law Jim wells, sisters Martha, Mary , Stella, Tamar, Francis, Dorothy and brother Alfred. eft to mourn with fond and loving memories are daughters Dale Wells, Sandra (Tony Blake) and Yvonne (Randy Gulliver), grandchildren Angela (Phillip) Noland (Tennell), Natalie (Damien), Neland (Christine), Steven (Brittany), Jason, Jill (Doug) and Amanda. great Grandchildren Jane,Owen, Emma, Claire and Ava and Madi. 2 sisters Rose (Dorm Andrson) and Vii (George Allan). Visitation took place at Kerry M. Fillatres Funeral home in St. Anthony after which the Funeral service was held on July  25th at 2:00pm with Rev. Findlay officiating cremation and burial followed the funeral service at the old Anglican cemetery in St. Anthony, on Monday July 28th. funeral arrangements where entrusted to Kerry M. PYNN, ALBERT GEORGE

Passed away peacefully at the Sir Thomad Roddick Hospital in Stephenville on the 21st day of April 2014. Mr. Albert George Pynn of Quirpon was in his 57th year. He leaves to mourn with loving memories his Daughter Miranda(Chris), Grandson Jax, Fiancee Paulette and daughters Kevannah and Emily, Parents Albert and Effie, Sisters Eliza(Robert), Annie(Guy), Brother Bradley(Peggy) as well as a large circle of family and friends. Visitation was held at the funeral home in St. Anthony and Central United Church in Quirpon followed by the funeral service at 2:00pm on the 25th day of April 2014 with Rev. Gus Pendleton and Major Baggs officiating. Internment followed in the Quirpon Community Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted Kerry M.
