GENGE, CLYDE HENRY

April 26th, 1940 - March 30, 2024

With great sadness, the family of Clyde Genge announce his passing at Charles Curtis Memorial Hospital on Saturday March 30th at the age of 83 years.

Clyde was born on April 26th, 1940 to Jacob and Agnes Genge. He spent most of his life fishing and working where he made many friends along the way. He married the love of his life, Myrtle Pittman on January 5th,1966. Together they lived a full life of love and devotion to their nieces and nephews and the family that surrounded them.

He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories; his wife: Myrtle, sister-in-law: Gertie, brother-in-law: Wilfred Sr, nieces: Effie (Ernest), Trudy (Michael), Connie (Shawn), Lindsey (Dwight), Jelisa (Corey), Kendall (Brady) and Laci and their kids that brought so much joy to his life, Landon, Avery, Avril, Amber, Jacob, Lakelee, Ellie, Madison and Heidi.

Also left to mourn is a large circle of friends and family.

He was predeceased by his loving Parents: Jacob and Agnes, and Parents in law: Alfred and Susan Pittman, Brother: Jacob Jr., Sister: Olive, Sister-in-Law: Janie Pittman and nephew: Wilfred Jr.

We would like to express our sincere appreciation and gratitude to the staff at Strait of Belle Isle Health Center and Curtis Memorial Hospital for their compassion and care.

Visitation to take place from St. Matthews Anglican Church in Anchor Point beginning the evening of Monday, April 1, 2024. The family service will take place on Tuesday, April 2, 2024 at 7:00 PM. The funeral service will take place at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, April 3, 2024 with Rev. Canon Vernon Short officiating. Interment to follow.

BYRNE, CLYDE JOSEPH

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Clyde Byrne announce the end of his battle at the Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony on December 9, 2023 at the age of 59.

He leaves to mourn his loving children: Angela, Michael (Marlynn); Grandchildren: Jaxon and Hunter; Mother: Gertrude (Ike Caines) Byrne; Brothers: Tony Rose), Bryan (Janice), Robert (Terri Lynn), Gerry (Elizabeth), Dale (Cheryl); Sisters: Madonna, Annie (Charles), Sadie; and Trudy, the mother of his children. Clyde also had a friend he often confided in and who would come visit when he was attending appointments in St. Johns. You would often hear her talk about her sweets she mailed him.

He is predeceased by his father: Edward Byrne; Brothers: Ronald and Donald; Sister Philomena; Niece and Nephew: Trudy and Kenny.

Clyde was heavily committed to St. Anthony seafood he has been an employee since 1980 and has worked with many people over the years.

A huge thank you from the children goes out to Bonnie at the chemo unit. He always talked about how nice she was as well as Elizabeth who attended a couple trips to the cancer center with him when his kids were unable, and Janice and Bryan who took him in last year when it was suggested he not live alone any longer.

Visitation to take place from the Bethel Pentecostal Church in St. Anthony on Monday, December 11, 2023. Private visitation will be held from 2-2:30 pm to be followed by public visitation from 2:30-9 pm. The funeral service will take place on Tuesday, December 12, 2023 at 2:00 pm with Pastor Jeff Elliott officiating. Interment to follow in the St. Anthony Pentecostal Cemetery.

PATEY, WALLACE CLYDE

June 10, 1933 - December 28, 2022

Clyde Patey was born on June 10, 1933 at St. Anthony Bight, NL. He passed away December 28, 2022.

Through his life he held several different jobs, mostly in Montreal. Upon retirement he returned back to his roots.

Clyde was a person who enjoyed the outdoor, whether it was fishing at St. Carol’s Pond or riding his bike long distances with great determination.

He will be remembered for his vibrant personality and smile.

He leaves to mourn, his Sister: Greta Mozeleski; Special Niece: Cynthia Simms (David); Niece: Greta Stephenson (John); Nephew: Leighton Patey (Bernice), as well as other extended family and friends.

Clyde is predeceased by his Parents: Beulah and Richard Patey; Brother: Vaze Patey; Sisters: Stella Patey and Leah Gunn.

Visitation to take place from the Salvation Army Citadel in St. Anthony on the evening of Friday, December 30, 2022 from 7-9 pm. The funeral will take place at 11:00 am on Saturday, December 31, 2022 with Major Anthony Stokes and Major Beverly Dart Stokes officiating. Cremation to follow.

WILLIAMS, CLYDE SR.

April 10, 1935 – December 9, 2019

Passed away at Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital on December 9, 2019 at the age of 84 years. Clyde will be forever loved and remembered by his Wife, Zebina; Children, Clyde Jr. (Tina), Cindy (Boyd); Grandchildren, Nico (Abbygail), Nicholas, Katlyn; Brother in law, Robert (Bob) Gale; Sister in law, Marie Gale; Niece, Melissa (Phil); Nephew, Justin (Jenalyn); Close Friends, Jamie Dredge and Clyde Ryan, as well as his extended family and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, William and Mary Williams; Sister, Joyce; Parents in Law, Elias and Lucy Gale; Sister in Law, Evelyn; Uncle, Adam Williams. Visitation to take place from St. Mary’s Anglican Church in Black Duck Cove beginning Wednesday afternoon and continuing until the funeral on December 13, 2019 at 2:00 pm with Rev.
