Passed away into peace on the 31st day of May, 2020, Emmie Jane Gladys Strangemore. Left to mourn Emmie’s passing are her Husband Clayton, Children Cynthia, Pauline, Scott and Eric, Her Grandchildren Adam, Shelly, Matthew, Austin, Samantha, Elvis, Rico, Stephanie s., Stephanie M., Blaine, Stacy-Ann, Demitre, Brendan, Jackson as well as many great grandchildren and extended family and friends. The funeral service was conducted at the Funeral Home in St. Anthony on June 3rd at 10:00am with Major and Captain Rideout officiating, burial followed the service at the Old Salvation army Cemetery. PATEY, MAISIE HATTIE

September 7, 1935 - March 14, 2020

Maisie Patey of Quirpon peacefully passed away in the presence of her family at the Curtis Hospital on Saturday, March 14, 2020, at the age of 84 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband of 66 years, Archibald, her children Janet (Paul), Linda Simms (Bruce), Scott (Gwen), David (Laurie), Ivan (Maxine), Nancy Elliott (Martin), Tony (Kathie), Shirley (Kingsley), and Darrell, 16 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. She also leaves to mourn her sisters Edna Randell and Ivy Cassell (Les), her brother Frank Randell (Patsy), her in-laws, Arthur Noseworthy and Blanche Strickland (Ronald). She is predeceased by her son Teddy, her parents David John and Janet Randell, her sisters Maud Pollard, Effie Randell, Clara Ricketts, Shirley Noseworthy and her brothers Adam, Pleman, and Harold. The family would like to extend special thanks to the staff of Shirley’s Haven for their excellent care over the past couple of years. Visistation to be held from Kerry M. Fillatre’s Funeral Home in St. Anthony on Tuesday and Wednesday, March 17th and 18th, 2020 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm with the funeral service taking place from the Salvation Army Citadel in St. Anthony on Thursday, March 19th, 2020 at 2:00 pm with Captain David and Major Melaine Rideout officiating. Interment to follow in the Quirpon Community Cemetery.

LAMBERT, JOHN GUY

March 2, 1944 - April 18, 2019

Born to John and Florence Lambert, St Anthony Bight. On May 1st, 1970 he married the love of his life, Annie Pynn. Together they had 4 Children. Guy loved his family and in 1981 he had an encounter with the Lord at Silver Birches camp and fell in love with him. He leaves to mourn his wife of 48 years, Annie; Son Bradley (Peggy); Daughters, Stacey (Tom), Petrina (Colin); 5 grandchildren, Anika, Dylan, Isaac, Colby, Avery; Sister, Audrey (Melvin); Mother in Law, Effie Pynn; Sister in law, Eliza (Bob), as well as extended family and a large circle of friends.Guy is predeceased by daughter Tammy; Granddaughter Danielle; Parents John and Florence Lambert; Sister Lucy Pilgrim; Brother Wellington Lambert; Half- Brother Ralph Lambert; Half-Sister Annie Pilgrim; Brother in law George Pynn; Father in law Albert Pynn, and Mary Rice (like a mother to him). Visitation was held from the Salvation Army Church from where the funeral was held on Monday, April 22, 2019 at 2:00 pm with Captains David and Melanie Rideout officiating. Interment followed. JOHNSON, CHARLES CLIFFORD

September 1, 1936 - March 19, 2019

Passed away March 19th, 2019 at the age of 82 years. He leaves to mourn with a lifetime of memories, his Wife, Margaret; Children, Preston (Tammy), and Joy; Granddaughter Rikki; Grandsons, Shawn and Shannon, as well as a large circle of extended family and friends. Charl was predeceased by his Sons, Drayson Ford, Shawn Craig; Brothers Garland, Chris, Varrick; Sisters Dorothy (Dot), and Minnie. TUCKER, NINA ELIZABETH FLORENCE

May 24th, 1941- March 2, 2019
Passed away March 2, 2019 at the age of 77 years. Nina was born in St. Anthony Bight to Stewart and Beulah (Curtis) Pilgrim. She leaves to mourn, Husband Levi; Children Christine and Perry; Brother Warrick (Lucy) Pilgrim; Sisters Winnie (Wayne) Brenton and Edna (Harold), Kinsella; Sister-In-Law Gertie Pilgrim, The Tucker Family and a wide circle of friends and family. Nina was predeceased by Brother Melvin Pilgrim and Sister Rita Dean. PILGRIM, LUCY NAOMI

May 15th 1942 - February 26th 2019

Passed peacefully away into the arms of Jesus on Feb 26th at Charles S. Curtis Hospital in her 76th year. She leaves to mourn with a lifetime of beautiful memories , her children, Shawn (Wanda) and Michelle (Bernie); Granddaughters Chelsea, Mackenzie & Jasmine; Brother Guy Lambert (Annie); Sister Audrey Hillier (Melvin) as well as a close circle of extended family and friends.Lucy was predeceased by her Husband Gilbert Pilgrim, father John Lambert, mother Florence, Step brother Ralph Lambert and step sister Alma Pilgrim

Passed away February 24th, 2019 from the Charles S. Curtis Hospital in St. Anthony at the age of 68 years. She leaves to mourn with a lifetime of memories, her Children,  Judy (Tim), Tim (Bev), Wendy (Brent); Grandchildren, Alex, Jett, Brian, Danielle, Rebecca; Brothers,  Hezekiah, Tobias, Eugene, Ivan; Sisters,  Gladys, Betty, Karen (Jim), Glenda (Nath), June (Will); Sister & Brother In Law,  Margaret & Charles Johnson; as well as a larger circle of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Goldie was predeceased by her Husband, Ford Roberts;  Father, Jonathan Pilgrim;  Mother, Annie Pilgrim;  Father In Law, Walter Roberts; and  Mother In Law, Una Roberts. COLBOURNE, FORD ERNEST

August 8, 1950 – February 15, 2019

Ford was born in St. Anthony on August 8th, 1950 to Linda and George Colbourne. He married Rita Roberts on November 17, 1972 and together they raised one child, Todd, who gave them their only Grandchild, Adam. He worked with the town of St/ Anthony for 38 years and enjoyed every minute. He retired in 2014. For was dedicated to his family and loved spending time with his grandson, Adam. He loved spending time at his cabin, the more people that dropped by, the happier he was. He was a friend to everyone. He leaves to mourn with fond memories, his Wife, Rita; Son, Todd (Tracey); Grandson, Adam; Brothers, Wes (Elizabeth), Oscar (Patricia), Alvin (Carol), Derrick (Donna); Sister, Denise (Jim); Sister-in-law, Agnes; Brother-in-law, Melvin Roberts (Irene); Sister-in-law, Ella (Carl), Nellie (Les), Debbie (Ray), and Effie. Ford was predeceased by his parents, George and Linda Colbourne; Brother, Warrick; Brother-in-laws, Willie Roberts, Tobias Simms; Sister-in-laws, Ruby (Calmen) Decker. ROWBOTTOM, MARY JANE

August 15th, 1935 – June 6th, 2018

Mary was born on August 15th, 1935 at Cook’s Harbour. The daughter of Ernest and Rita Hill. On August 28th, 1951 she married George Rowbottom from Quirpon. Together they raised 11 children. She passed away on June 6th, 2018. She will be greatly missed by all. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her Sons Ernest (Kathy), Eli 9Mary), Gary (Hazel), Lorne, George (Marlene), Dwayne (Donald), Ashley (Tina), Nathan (Rhonda); Daughters Dale, Terry (George), Cindy (Merrill); Sister Margaret; Companion Everton, Grandchildren, Great-grandchildren, Special Nephew, George (Naomi) as well as a large circle of relatives, friends, and special friends. Mary Jane was predeceased by her Husband George, Father Ernest, Mother Rita, Grandson Riley, Sister Elizabeth, Brothers Albert, Joseph, Thomas and Harvey. Visitation was held from Kerry M. SNOW, ERIC CLEMENT

Passed away on January 14th from the Health Science Centre in St. Johns at the age of 53 years. Eric was born to Francis and the late Mary Snow on February 5, 1964. He met the love of his life, Diane Hedderson; they married on June 8th, 1985. Together they raised 3 beautiful children who are his precious jewels; Steven (Tamara), Victoria (Todd), Varrick (Jenna). They have 7 Grandchildren; Cortaz, Dakota, Nathan, Kaci-Rae, Amaya, Alexia, and Samuel, whom Eric loved very much. Leaving with fond and loving memoires are wife Diane; Children Steven (Tamara), Victoria (Todd), Varrick (Jenna); 7 Grandchildren; Father Francis; Brothers Roland (Trudy), Leslie (Paula); Sister Mona as well as a large circle of family and friends. Eric is predeceased by his mother Mary; Mother and Father in law Madeline and Hector Hedderson; and brothers-in-law Billy and Gordon Hedderson. Visitation was held from the Pentecostal Tabernacle in St. Lunaire-Griquet from where the funeral was held on Thursday, January 18th, 2018 at 2:00 pm with Captain Rideout officiating.
