FILLIER, ROSS ERIC GRENFELL

It is with great sadness that the family of Mr. Ross Eric Grenfell Fillier announce his passing on February 15, 2016 at the John M. Gray Center. He leaves to mourn to mourn with loving memories his daughters Audrey (Joe), Donna (Stan), Linda (Rafe), Gertie and Daughter-in-law Rosemary. Grandchildren Danny (Barb), Chris (Tammy), Julie (Guy), Rochelle (Andy), Cory (Shelley), Deana (Rol), Gina (Brad), Sandy (Ivan), Heather (Trevor), and Kristie, as well as Fourteen Great Grandchildren, and Three Great Great Grandchildren and a large number of nieces, nephews, family and friends. Ross was predeceased by his wife Mary, Sons Wilbourne, Albert Scott, Daughter Bonnie Lynn, Parents Albert and Lavinia Fillier, Brother Chesley and son-in-law Chris. Visitation was held at the funeral home in St. Anthony after which the funeral service was held on Thursday February 18th, 2016 at 2:00pm from the Salvation Army Citadel with Major Dinzel Baggs officiating. Interment followed at the church cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre’s Funeral Homes, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Siobhan Mauger Funeral Director.

TOOPE, RAYMOND

Passed away peacefully at the Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony on the 24th of December, Mr Raymond Toope of Black Duck Cove in his 77th year. Raymond Leaves to mourn his passing his Daughter Mary Rachel (Bruce), Grandson Raymond (Jackie), Great grandson Ethan, Brothers Jim (Jessie), Jacob, Mark (Emelene), Tom (Dulcie), Walter (Caroline), Sisters Emily, Maria, Brother in law Calvin, Sister in law Virginia, as well as a large circle of family and friends.  Raymond was predeceased by his wife Enid, Parents Virginia, John and Emmanuel, Brothers Jacob, Wilfred, Sisters in law Nina, Vivian, Pauline and kit, Brothers in law Nelson, George, Carl, nephew in law Dolph and parents in law Walter and Maria. Visitation was held at the St. Mary's Anglican Church in Black Duck Cove from which the funeral service was held at 2:00pm on Sunday December 28th 2014 with Rev. Harold Harvey Officiating. burial followed the service at the Anglican Cemetery in Black Duck Cove, Funeral arrangements entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatres Funeral Home, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Lee Nippard, Funeral Director.

CARROLL, MICHAEL JOSEPH

Born December 1st, 1924 in Conche, NL, Michael J. Carroll moved to north east brook in Roddickton in 1931, then Roddickton proper in 1968, he worked as a logger, fisherman, Heavy Equipment operator and Maintenance man of the town of Roddickton for many years. Michael Passed away into the Presence of God on October 5th, 2014 at the John M. Gray Center in his 86th year.  Left to Mourn his passing are his sons Clifford (Bessie), Ambrose (Judy), George (Mary Elle), Michael Jr. (Lois), Bernard (Meryl), Daughters Nellie (Willie), Margaret (Dave), 20 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, sisters Shirley, Della, Elizabeth and Loretta. as well as brothers James, William, Val, and a large circle of family and friends. Michael was predeceased by his wife Anastasia, sisters Alice and Nellie and brothers Robert and Gerald. visitation was held at the church of the Good Shepherd in Roddickton, from which the funeral Mass was held at 2:00pm on Wednesday October 8th with Farther Vitus Officiating. burial followed in the Church cemetery. COOMBS, MYRTLE

Born on Current Island on the 16th day of September 1937 she eventually moved to Plum Point where she raised her family. Later in life she moved to the Dove Complex in Norris Point. On the 14th day of September Myrtle passed peacefully away at the Bon Bay Health Center. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memoires her Son Rodney(Rachel), Daughters Evelyn(Doug) and Minnie(Marcel), Granddaughter Shelley, Grandsons Ryan, Joe and Bradly, Brothers William and George(Mamie), Sisters Caroline, Ruby, and Virginia(Calvin), Brothers-in-law Jim, Joe and Gerald, Sisters-in-law Lillian, Velma, and Masie, Special Friends Harvey Mudge, Patsy, Gerald and Roland, Elaine, Mary, Teressa, Lizzy Walter, Richard and Doris as well as a large circle of family and friends. She was predeceased by her Father Walter, Mother Amelia, Brothers Jacob and John, Sister Matilda. The visitation was held at the Church of Advent in Plum Point from which the funeral service was held at 2:00pm on the 17th day of September 2014 with rev. Harold Harvey officiating. Interment followed in the Anglican Cemetery in Pond Cove. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatres Funeral Homes Ltd., St. Anthony and Roddickton, Siobhan Mauger funeral director.

COLES, WILLIAM JOHN

Passed away into peace on the 7th of September 2014 at the Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony, Mr. William John Coles of Black Duck Cove in his 78th year. William leaves behind to mourn his loss Marilyn, Weston and Family and the Caines Families, his nieces Dorcas and Dorothy, nephews Whyman, Wilson, George, Gordon and the Whites families. Visitation took place at St. Mary's Anglican Church in Black Duck Cove, from which the funeral service was held on Wednesday September 10th, 2014 at 2:00pm with Rev. Harold Harvey and lay person Yvonne dredge officiating. burial followed the service at the Anglican community cemetery in Savage cove. funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M.
