RUMBOLT, ARTHUR MICHAEL

It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Arthur Rumbolt age 84, of Castor River South on June 17, 2022 at Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony surrounded by his loving wife of 62 years (Clara) and all of his loving family.

Art was born on St. John's Island on July 29, 1937 to Lawerence Rumbolt and Jane Gaulton (pre deceased).

He married the love of his life Clara Tatchell on July 26, 1959 and started their family in December 1960.

Art was a very hard working man. He fished along side his brother Lawerence until he retired.

He loved to visit his cabin and go sight seeing for moose, he spent lots of time at the gardens, wood, lawn and berry picking. Although this wasn't his favourite thing to do (LOL), he always went along with his wife. He loved playing cards, especially a good game of poker and spending time with his family.

His family and wife were everything to him. He was a very devoted husband, dad and pop. He loved to see his family visit. He has many fond memories of the time they have shared.

He is survived by his four sons Lyman (Edna) Rumbolt, Luke (Theresa) Rumbolt, Jim (Phyllis) Rumbolt, Stewart (Jessie) Rumbolt. His four daughters Eliza (Stewart) Tatchell, Alva (George) Tatchell, Velma Rumbolt, Vina (Tony) Plowman.

Grandchildren Linda (Dion) Caines, Marvin (Terra-Lynn) Tatchell, Joshua (Kim) Tatchell, Lyman jr. (Sabrina) White, Mindy (Blake) Skappak, Kendra (Kerry) Plowman, Kandice Plowman and Reid Myers.

Great grandchildren Colby Baines, Carly Tatchell, Brielle Rumbolt, Marian Rumbolt, Adrian Rumbolt and Lincoln Skappak, And a large circle of family and friends

Art was brother to Ralph (Laura) Gaulton (pre deceased), Lawrence (Rebecca) Rumbolt, John Genneaux (pre deceased), Frank (Irene) Rumbolt, Cliff (Erma) Rumbolt, Kevin (Carmelita) Rumbolt.

Sisters Dulcie (pre deceased) (William) Tatchell and Bridget (Donald)(pre deceased) Scanlon.

Rosary will take place on June 18, 2022 at Queen of The Angels in Castor River South at 7:30 p.m. Family service will take place June 19, 2022 at 7 p.m.

Funeral service will take place June 20, 2022 at 2 p.m. at Queen of The Angels Church in Castor River South with Fr. Rossi Officating, cremation to follow at a later date.

The family wishes to thank those who visited, sent gifts, food, messages, prayers and calls during their time in St. Anthony.

Thank you to the staff of the Dialysis Unit at Curtis Memorial Hospital. You were wonderful to him. Also, thanks to the staff in Palliative Care Unit, your thoughtfulness and kindness will never be forgotten.

EDDISON, ARTHUR

July 12, 1960 - May 27, 2022

It is with great sadness and broken hearts that the family of Arthur Eddison announce his passing. Art passed away peacefully at the Health Science Center in St. Johns surrounded by his beloved wife and three children at the age of 61.

Arthur Eddison was born on July 12, 1960 to Plemen and Marion Eddison of Noddy Bay. He was one of eight children who settled and built a house in his hometown. He married Janet Hillier on May 22, 1981 and had three beautiful children. Later in life Art gained four grandchildren which he absolutely adored!

Art was a long time employee for 30 plus years with Parks Canada in L’anse Aux Meadows. He was very dedicated to his job but looked forward to his retirement where he could enjoy all the outdoor activities that he loved.

Predeceased by his father Pleman and brother Truman. Art leaves to mourn his wife, Janet; son, Greg (Sherry); Daughters Sheena (Ryan) and Nikki (Adam); Grandchildren, Paityn, Ben, Jack and Conrad. Mother, Marion, two brothers and four sisters along with a large circle of extended family and friends.

Visitation to take place from the Central United Church, Quirpon Branch Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning with the funeral service taking place at 2:00 on Wednesday, June 1 2022 with Rev Art Kinsella officiating. Interment to follow in the Quirpon Community Cemetery.

LODER, ARTHUR WILLIS

December 30, 1931 - October 13, 2019

Arthur Loder was born on December 30, 1931 to Allen & Dulcie Loder of Griquet. He married Violet Earle on November 20, 1962 and they had 4 children together. He worked most of his life as an inshore fisherman, which he loved to do. Although he was not known as a man of great means, he provided for his family and was certainly rich in the things that mattered most. He spent well his time with his family and ensured that each of them grew up knowing they were loved deeply. Arthur was known for his incredible patience, kindness and gentleness toward others. His manner of life was such that all who knew him could see clearly that his ambition was to be a good husband, father and friend. Quite simple, people liked him.  He seemed to possess the kind of qualities we all wish we had more of. On  December 20, 1997, Arthur accepted the Lord Jesus as his Saviour and was committed to his faith for the remainder of his life. Arthur passed peacefully away surrounded by his family on Sunday October 13, 2019 after a lengthy illness. He is survived by his wife Violet, who stayed by his side to the very end, his son Allan (Joy), daughters Wanda (John), Denise (Kenny), Colleen (Andreas), as well as 6 grandchildren (Jennifer, Chelsea, Kayla, Nikki, Jonathan and Zin) and 5 great-grandchildren (Tobias, Noah, Evelyn, Brady and Avery).  He will be deeply missed by all. Visitation will be held from the Pentecostal Tabernacle in St. Lunaire-Griquet on Tuesday, October 15, 2019 from 2-4 pm with the family service taking place at 7:30 PM on Tuesday evening. The funeral will be held on Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at 2:00 pm with Pastor Harnum officiating. Interment to follow
