December 30, 1931 - October 13, 2019
Arthur Loder was born on December 30, 1931 to Allen & Dulcie Loder of Griquet. He married Violet Earle on November 20, 1962 and they had 4 children together. He worked most of his life as an inshore fisherman, which he loved to do. Although he was not known as a man of great means, he provided for his family and was certainly rich in the things that mattered most. He spent well his time with his family and ensured that each of them grew up knowing they were loved deeply. Arthur was known for his incredible patience, kindness and gentleness toward others. His manner of life was such that all who knew him could see clearly that his ambition was to be a good husband, father and friend. Quite simple, people liked him. He seemed to possess the kind of qualities we all wish we had more of. On December 20, 1997, Arthur accepted the Lord Jesus as his Saviour and was committed to his faith for the remainder of his life. Arthur passed peacefully away surrounded by his family on Sunday October 13, 2019 after a lengthy illness. He is survived by his wife Violet, who stayed by his side to the very end, his son Allan (Joy), daughters Wanda (John), Denise (Kenny), Colleen (Andreas), as well as 6 grandchildren (Jennifer, Chelsea, Kayla, Nikki, Jonathan and Zin) and 5 great-grandchildren (Tobias, Noah, Evelyn, Brady and Avery). He will be deeply missed by all. Visitation will be held from the Pentecostal Tabernacle in St. Lunaire-Griquet on Tuesday, October 15, 2019 from 2-4 pm with the family service taking place at 7:30 PM on Tuesday evening. The funeral will be held on Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at 2:00 pm with Pastor Harnum officiating. Interment to follow
