George was born on April 21st, 1935 to Edith and Kenneth Adams of Griquet. He met the love of his life Dorothy Burden from St. Lunaire on August 23rd, 1957. Together they raised 6 children, 5 Daughters & 1 Son. He enjoyed fishing, Salmon fishing, going in the woods to cut his winters firewood, moose hunting, & spending time with Family and friends. He was a very hard worker at anything he did to provide for his Family that he loved and cherished. He loved to have fun, and cherished the times he got to spend with his Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, & Great great grandchildren they were his pride and joy. He loved everyone and wanted them to stay the night. He was a real sweetheart, and loved by all that met him. He was very faithful to his church, loved attending anything and everything to do with church. Even attending when he was to sick to go, but most of all he was devoted to his Lord and Saviour, who he praised to the end.
George leaves to mourn his daughters; Gwen (Scott) Patey, Jane (Paul) Tulk, Lona (Edward) Hedderson, Gertrude (Wade) Decker, & SueAnn Normore; Son, Harrison Adams (Triffie Patey); Sister, Shirley (Valance) Pilgrim; Grandchildren, Rhonda, Michelle (Danny), Leroy (Kasandra), Amanda (Stewart), Gavin (Leanne), Dayna, Amy (Dino), Craig (Jena), Ian (Tiffany), & Joshua (Samantha); Great Grandchildren, Quynn, Lainey, Ella, Alannah, Jasmine, Tanya, Brooke, Chloe, Ethan, Emma, Addison, Liam, Aiden, Austin & Alex; Great Great Grandchildren, Emerson, Paisley, & Carson. George will also be greatly missed by a large circle of Relatives, Friends, church family, & Special neighbors Aunt Flo, Eileen, & Bruce.
George was Pre-deceased by his Wife, Dorothy Adams; Parents, Edith & Kenneth Adams; Sisters, Nellie Hillier, & Goldie Peyton; Brothers, Harold, William, Melvin & Wilson; and Son in Law, Moody Normore.
Visitation to be from 11:30 am - 1:30 pm on Sunday, December 5, 2021 from the Pentecostal Tabernacle in St. Lunaire-Griquet where the funeral will continue at 2:00 pm with Pastor Harnum officiating. Dorothy was born on April 1st, 1939 to Harrison and Hazel Burden of St. Lunaire-Griguet. She met and married George Adams of Main Brook on August 23rd, 1957. Together they raised 6 children, 5 Daughters and 1 Son. She enjoyed her knitting and quilting very much and was a very hard working woman, who was also eager to provide a meal to anyone. She was faithful to her church and most of all devoted to her Lord and Saviour, who she served for many years. Her true pride and joy was her grandchildren Great grandchildren, and Great-great Grand children. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends and all who knew her. Private visitation to be held from the Pentecostal Faith Tabernacle in St. Lunaire-Griquet on Saturday, August 14, 2021 from 7-8 pm and on Sunday, August 15, 2021 from 10am - 12 pm. The funeral will take place on Sunday, August 15, 2021 at 2:00pm with Pastor Jeff Elliott officiating. Interment to follow in the St. Lunaire-Griquet Pentecostal Cemetery.

Passed away December 5th, 2018 from the Charles S. Curtis Hospital in St. Anthony at the age of 68 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, her Siblings, Dulcie, Elva, Robert, Wilson, Ford, Lawrence; as well as all of her nieces and nephews whom she loved as her own. Jessie was predeceased by her parents, Mary and Kenneth Adams, and Brother Wilfred Adams. Visitation was held from Calvary Pentecostal Church in Roddickton from where the funeral was held on Saturday, December 8th, 2018 at 2:00 pm with Pastor Benjamin Brown officiating. Evelyn Jane Adams (nee Pilgrim) was born in St. Lewis to Wesley and Clara Pilgrim on June 15th, 1939. She married Harold and together they raised seven children, Patricia, Mary, Oral, Calvin, Waddell, Joan and Bert. She was blessed with 22 grandchildren and a large number of great grandchildren. Evelyn was a remarkable lady with a heart of gold and she loved her family unconditionally. She loved to cook for her family and everyone loved her homemade bread. She also loved to knit. She was well known for her kindness and generosity and she was always there to lend a helping hand to all. Evelyn Leaves to Mourn, her Sons, Oral, Calvin (Lisa), Waddell (Gaye), Bert (Robyn); Daughters, Patricia (Stafford), Mary (Randy), Joan (Glenn); Brothers, Eric, Albert, Fredrick, Murdock, Leonard & Leon; Sisters, Betty, Millicent & Alice; 22 Grandchildren; 16 Great Grandchildren and a large circle of other relatives and close friends. It is with great sadness that the family of Jasper Adams announce his passing at the L.A. Miller Center in St. John’s, NL on November 27th. Jasper passed peacefully away surrounded by his loving family. Born in Roddickton, November 23, 1942, Jasper had a love for fishing, hunting, berry picking, music and his family. Left with the greatest memories are his wife Betty, daughters Debbie Fillier (Keywood), Kathy King (Craig), son Robert (Carolyn), his grandchildren Terri-Lynn Fillier (Brent), Brandon Filler (Nicole) and Ethan King, great grandson Grayson Randell. Also to mourn his brothers Leamon (Emily), Jerry (Joanne), Dorman (Denise), sisters Clara (Simon), Rowena, Evelyn (Larry), Triffena (Dan) along with a large number of family and friends. He is predeceased by his parents James and Elizabeth Adams, brothers Baxter and James, sisters Lavinia, Mildred and Olive. A special thank you to the staff of the L.A. Miller Center, Palliative Care Unit that provided such good care to Jasper and his family. Passed away peacefully at the Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony on the 9th of August, 2015 Mr. George A. Adams in his 69th year. Left to mourn are his daughters Laura (Gary), Amanda (Kirby); Grandchildren Chandler, Alexis, Jaxon; brothers Fred (Viva), Raymond (Blanche), Harvey, Leslie (Juna), Armenious, Thomas (Jeanette), Keith; and sister Annie May.

Passed away at the Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony on January 31st, Mr. Harold Adams of St. Luanire-Griquet in his 77th year. Left to Mourn his passing are his wife Evelyn, his sons Oral, Calvin, (Lisa), Waddell (Gaye), and Burt (Robyn), his daughters Patricia (Stafford), Mary (Randy), and Joan (Glenn). As well as his brother George and sisters Shirley and Goldie, Also 21 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and a large circle of nieces, nephews and other relatives and close friends. Harold lived to see the passing of his parents Kenneth and Edith Adams, his brothers Melvin, William, Wilson and his sister Nellie. Visitation was held at the Calvary Pentecostal Tabernacle in St. Lunaire-Griquet, from which the funeral service took place at 2:00pm on February 3rd, 2014 with Pastor Wayne Baker officiating.
