December 23, 1940 – January 28, 2025
It is with heavy heart that the family of the late Hazel, Priscilla Ellsworth announce her passing on January 28, 2025 at the John M. Gray Center in St. Anthony.
Hazel was born December 23, 1940 to parents Rudolph and Chatfield Randell of Hooping Harbour, NL. As a kid, her family spent the winters in Roddickton and the summers in Hooping Harbour. She was married to Ronald Ellsworth on January 8, 1965 and together they raised four children.
Hazel had many roles throughout her life and always tackled them to the best of her abilities. First and foremost, she was a wonderful mother to her cherished children. She was also an exceptional cook, seamstress and manager of the home and finances. She was indeed the anchor for our family.
She leaves to mourn her loving husband, Ronald. Four children, Troy (Linda), Dexter (Lynn), Rhonda (Tim), Ian (Nadine). Siblings Alfreda, Clement (Doris), Meletta (Clyde), Mark (Loretta), Richard (Jean), Jean. Grandchildren Christopher, Mark, Nicole, Alexandra, Bradley, Kyle, Shane, Joel, Cherishe and Great-grandchildren Jake, Cody, Lanaya, Rayah, Hadyn, Harper, Jackson, Jax, Grace, James, Jayce, Avery, Declan.
Hazel is predeceased by her parents Rudolph and Chatfield, her sister Marie and brother Clifford.
Gone but never forgotten
Visitation will take place from the Calvary Pentecostal Church in Roddickton on Friday, January 31, 2025 from 7-9 pm and on Saturday, February 1, 2025 from 2-4 pm. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, February 2, 2025 with Pastor Pittman officiating. Interment to follow.
