It is with great sadness that the family of Gideon Hughes announce his passing on the 20th day of March, 2023 at the Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony in his 73rd year. Left to mourn his passing with heavy hearts are his wife Emily, God Son Kent, Danielle, Jaden and Logan ; his brothers Wilson, Lloyd (Maisie), Stewart (Yvonne), Wayne, Lewis (Delilah), Marvin (Patsy) ; His Sisters Daisy and Rosie ; his in-laws Lawrence (Jean), Eric, Sadie, Norman (Helen), Gorvin (Sarah), Garland (Priscilla), Selby (Lorraine), Wade, Brian (Wanda), Roland, Peter and Velma. Gideon was predeceased by his parents Cecil and Celia, his sister Elvia and in-laws Enos, Harvey, Yvonne, Father in law Selby and Mother in law Mary, Currie, Cassie, Rosie, Winnie, Osbourne, Henry, Whyman, Robert and May.
Visitation will be held at the St. Andrews Anglican Church in Lower Cove beginning Wednesday (March 22nd) evening and continuing through to the family service at 8pm on Thursday (March 23rd) with the funeral service being held at 11am on Friday March 24th with Rev. Vernon Short Officiating, burial will follow at the Anglican Community Cemetery in Green Island Brook. Funeral Arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M.
