Passed peacefully away on March 29, 2022 surrounded by family at Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital at the age of 91 years.

Maude was a lady who loved life and church. She surrounded herself with family, friends, and strangers alike. She was well known for her little sayings and quotes by all who had the privilege to know her.

She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, Children, Freeman (Glenda), Larry (Bessie), Wesley (Charlene), Ada (Donald) Weir, Morris (Josephine), Cindy (Hughie) Crewe, Winnie (David) Power; Grandson, raised as her own, Richard (Tina); Stepson, Stanley (Donna) Simms; Son-in-law, Frank MacWhirter; Sister-in-law, Verna Gillard, 21 Grandchildren, 16 Great-grandchildren, 1 Great-great-grandchild as well as a large circle of extended family and friends.

Maude was predeceased by her husband, Lester Cull (1982); Second Husband, John Saunders; Daughter, Bessie MacWhirter; Daughter-in-law, Myrtle Cull; Parents, Frederick and Bessie Gillard; Brothers, Baxter and Frederick Gillard Jr.; and Sisters, Pearl Keefe, Stella Compton, and Lucy Tetford.

Public visitation to take place at the Apostolic Faith Church in Englee on Friday, April 1, 2022 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will take place on Saturday, April 2, 2022 at 2:00 pm with Pastor George Burton officiating. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Kerry M.
