Paul Richard Simms, was born on Sept 13, 1986 at Charles Curtis Memorial Hospital in St Anthony, NL and passed away on Nov 17, 2022.
Paul was an avid outdoors man who enjoyed golfing, hunting, salmon fishing, and riding snowmobile and ATV. He dearly loved the peace and quiet of the great outdoors and depending on the season would join his friends on a salmon river or on a long snowmobile ride across the peninsula with a stop for a boil up.
Paul was quiet with few words but a man of action instead. As a youth, He was a spark plug and a driving force on his hockey team. As an adult, he was noted as a hard worker who was determined and persistent until the task was completed.
Paul will be remembered for his pleasantness, hard work, love of nature and his special smile.
Left to mourn is his son, Zachary; parents David and Cynthia Simms; brother Jason (Catherine); Uncle Maurice Simms; Aunt Greta (John) Stephenson; Great Aunt Jean Canning; Nephews, Thomas and Joshua; Niece, Lucy; Cousins Ryan, Heather, Craig, Wendy, Cheryl, Tammy and Trina as well as countless other family and friends.
Paul was predeceased by grandparents, Reginald and Joan Simms; Garfield and Stella Patey; and Uncle Milton Patey.
Private visitation by invitation only to take place from Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral Home in St. Anthony. The public funeral service will take place on Tuesday, November 29, 2022 at 2:00 pm from St. Mary’s Anglican Church in St. Anthony with Rev. Arthur Kinsella officiating. Cremation to follow.
