The magnitude of love is not restricted by parameters or definitions. Nicholas adored Nancy, technically his niece, but forever his daughter. He provided her with so much comfort and care her entire life and she was happy to return the same. His pride only grew as his family expanded with his son in law, Hank and then the blessings of his little girls, granddaughters Chloe and Sara. How he adored them all, wanted the best for them, strived to give them all he could, especially his affection. His family was indeed his treasure.

Nicholas will be greatly missed by all who have known him. There’s hardly a house on this coast that hasn’t been touched by Nicholas's carpentry skills, from building houses, installing kitchen cupboards and building front decks, there was nothing he didn’t try to accomplish.

Since his wife’s passing in January there has been quite a few good family and friends to tended to him on a daily basis especially his brother Hughie who was his right hand man, he couldn’t do anything without him and vice versa, Hughies Wife Marie always made sure to keep his belly full each and every day. No words can express how much they meant to Nicks and the family is very thankful for their selfless acts of kindness daily.

We would also like to send a special thanks to “his Nurse” Cindy Coombs-Williams who went above and beyond to make him as comfortable as possible during his illness. He thought the world of her and she cared for him dearly.

Visitation to take place on Sunday December 19, 2021 at St. Andrews Anglican Church, Lower Cove from 6-10 pm. The funeral will take place on Dec 20th, 2021 at 11am pm with Rev. Deacon Vernon Short officiating. The service will be followed by burial at the Green Island Brook cemetery.
