September 18, 1954 – September 11, 2020 It is with heavy hearts that the family of the late Ruby Dredge announce her passing on Friday, September 11, 2020 at the Health Science Center in St. John’s at the age of 65 years. The one thing Ruby loved more than anything in the world was her family. She did her best to take care of them. Ruby was a very strong, quiet, gentle woman with a great sense of humor. She was an active member on numerous committees and was dedicated to representing her own community along with neighbouring communities. Although she struggled with her illness the past seven months, she would never complain and she accepted what each day brought to her with a positive attitude. She will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her, especially her husband, Jacob; Sons, Tyson (Josephine), Trevor (Christa); Grandson, Reed; Siblings, Matthew, Leslie; Nieces and Nephews; Sister-in-law’s, Hazel, Martha Jane, Elizabeth; Brother-in-law’s, Isaac (Edith), Edward (Blanche); Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins. She was predeceased by her son, Jacob Gregory; her granddaughter Cierra; and her parents, Samuel and Amy Randell. The family extends their heartfelt thanks and appreciation for all the support they have received throughout Ruby’s illness. They are especially thankful for the care she received from the staff at the Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony and the staff at the Health Science Center in St. Johns. Viewing will take place on Wednesday, September 16, 2020 from 12:00 pm to 1:30 pm at St. Mary’s Anglican Church in Black Duck Cove, NL. The funeral will begin at 2:00 pm with Rev.
