April 23, 1955 – November 27, 2019
At age 64, Lorrie Roberts passed peacefully away November 27th, 2019 at Curtis Memorial hospital. In her final moments she was surrounded by her nearest and dearest family members. Strength, determination, heart of gold and nerves of steel. There will never be enough words to describe Lorrie’s disposition and outlook on life. She was completely selfless putting the lives of everyone else before her own. At age 18, Lorrie was given the task of raising her 6 younger siblings. Ensuring they had a motherly figure to depend on, she stepped seamlessly into the role. As the children gradually grew up and moved on, Lorrie started working at the local fish plant in St. Anthony where she worked until the collapse of the fishery. During that time she was married and raised two children of her own. It was then she began to devote her time to her true passion of cooking and baking. She worked in various restaurants throughout the years, ending her career at the Lighthouse Keepers Cafe. No matter how many hours she spent on her feet she always found time for her favorite leisure activities including sewing, trouting, card games and darts, just to name a few. She was the epitome of a social butterfly and loved every minute of it. She has touched countless lives throughout the years and will undoubtedly be missed. She leaves to mourn; Husband - Alec, daughters - Tisha (Rick) and Tina, her pride and joy, granddaughter - Tamara; Sisters - Linda (Phillip), Rose (Tony), Marcella (Paul); Brothers - Charlie (Suzy), Eugene (Rita), Joe (Brenda), Austin (Agnes); Sisters in law Paula and Eleanor: as well as numerous extended family members and friends.
