EARLE, EVERETT RONALD

February 17th, 1930 – July 1st, 2019

Everett married Lucy Compton on January 3, 1952, together they raised 6 children. Everett began working for Ford Elms at the young age of 16. He continued to work with Stephen and Gwen Knudsen after Ford retired. He did maintenance and repairs around the store and other properties, along with loading and unloading fish, truck driving, picking up building supplies in Corner Brook, delivering seal pelts to Dildo. Even driving the snowmobile in the winter taking Police, nurses and doctors to the surrounding communities. He continued to work there until his stroke in 1987. He worked hard to provide for his family. He also liked to build things, from houses to furniture and even a few boats. Even though he worked a lot, he found time for his family, taking the kids ice fishing, trout fishing, boil ups and cooking fishermen's brews over the open fire and even Sunday afternoon drives. Sunday mornings he would go to church, taking the kids with him, while Lucy would stay home and cook dinner. He would take the kids back for Sunday School and when picking them up after, all the kids that could would get in the back of the truck for a ride home, (he had one of the first trucks in the community). After his stroke, with the love and encouragement of his wife, Lucy, he continued to build things, toys, furniture and models for his grandchildren and do some maintenance around the house. He also loved his puzzles, putting together more than a hundred over the last few years. He also like to ride his stationary bike, wearing out two. He was a quiet and patient man who never complained. He will be remembered in love, and missed by his family. Everett leaves to mourn his Wife, Lucy Earle; Sons, Boyce (Judy), Wayne (Marilyn).
