It is with deep sadness that the family of the late Andrew Coates of Wild Bight announce his passing at home surrounded by his loving family on October 14th, 2021 at the age of 88 years.

Andrew leaves to mourn his loving wife of 56 years, Evelyn, His two daughters: Hellen (Albert), Sherry (Leon) Grandchildren: Jocelyn (Greg) Jennifer (Steevens) Jillian (Jesse) Great-grandchildren: Emma, Harrison, Logan, Étienne, Bella, Aiden, Cashton. Hannah. In addition, his siblings will mourn him: Selma (Thomas), Philip (Linda) Sister-in-law : Ivy, Eileen, Marie, Bernice (Jerry) ,Bertha (Dave), Rosie (Steven). Brother-in-law: Gary (Shawna) and George

As well as a large, circle of nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.

Predeceased by: Parents; Richard Henry and Marie Jane Coates.

Sister – Bennett Blake.

Visitation took place on October 17, 2021 at 15:00 with Pastor Jeff Elliott officiating, followed by interment at the Wild Bight Anglican Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements were provided by Kerry M. Fillatres funeral Home St-Anthony, Lee Nippard, Funeral Director.

It is with sad and grateful hearts that we have to say farewell to our Husband, Dad, Grandfather, Brother, and friend. Cecil was a hardworking man who provided for his family and was very caring. His door was always open for anyone to stop in for a chat or a meal. You could ask him for anything and if he had it, he would give it to you. He was always there to lend a helping hand or do what he could for anybody, He will be deeply missed by everyone that knew him.

Visitation to take place from Kerry M Fillatre Funeral Home in St. Anthony on Thursday, October 14, 2021 from 7-9pm and will continue on Friday, October 15, 2021 from the Pentecostal Faith Tabernacle in St. Lunaire-Griquet from 12pm-1:30pm. The celebration of life service will follow at 2:00 pm with Pastors Bill and Judy Harnum officiating. Interment to follow.

September 29, 1956 - October 7, 2021

Born on September 29, 1956 in St. Anthony, NL. Kevin grew up in St. Anthony and met the love of his life, Corrine Elliott and together they started a family. Kevin and Corrine were blessed with two boys, Sheldon and Chad. They spent a large part of their lives together in Raleigh before moving to Yellowknife for 19 years where Kevin worked in the mining industry. Kevin enjoyed spending his time in the shed playing darts with family and friends. Kevin was a jack of all trades and especially like fixing small motors and other mechanics. His favourite pastime was spending time with his grandchildren, Mia, Vann, and Knox.
He is forever loved and missed by his Wife of 41 years, Corrine; Sons, Sheldon (Michelle), Chad (Megan); Grandchildren, Mia, Vann, Knox; Parents, Charles and Bertha; Siblings, Edith (Wallace), Gary (Dale), Dallas (George), Marilyn (Chuck), Cherie (Jamie); Parents-in-law, Reginald and Irene Elliott; Sisters-in-law, Ellen, Marie (Monty), Sharon (Glen); Brother-in-law, Anthony (Barbara), as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
He is predeceased by his Grandparents, Robert and Edith Campbell, Clement and Rebecca Richards; and brother-in-law, Thomas Eddison.

RICHARDS, TONY BRAMWELL

It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of a loving husband, father, and grandfather Tony Richards at Curtis Memorial Hospital, at the age of 65 years.  Tony was born to Abram and Florrie Richards of Little Brehat and moved to St. Anthony at the age of two.  He had a typical childhood filled with schooling and growing up, and later attended college where he met the love of his life Winnie (White) and in 1977 became parents to their only daughter Charmaine.  He spent years working with FPI and St. Anthony Seafoods and lastly with Department of Transportation and Works at the College of the North Atlantic.  Tony made a lot of friends during the years and spent plenty of time in his boat fishing, and hunting.  In 2009 his pride and joy, his one and only grandson Caden was born and life had a whole new meaning.  Being a grandfather was his favorite role and he enjoyed every minute of it.  Tony was loved greatly by all who knew him.  He will be fondly remembered by his wife of 40 years Winnie, daughter Charmaine (Corey), and grandson Caden; siblings Nina (Boyd), Lillian (Wilf), Betty (Ed), Willard (Betty), and Linda (Graham), and In-laws Melvina (Fred), Shirley (late Chris), Calvin (Mary Ann), and David (Tracey); and a large number of nieces and nephews and their families.  He is predeceased by his parents Abram and Florrie Richards, in-laws Elijah and Ina White, sister Stella (Reginald), brother Valence, and brother in-law Douglas.       

Family visitation will take place Saturday, Oct 2, 2-4pm and Sunday Oct 3, 7-9pm.  The funeral will take place at St. Anthony United Church on Monday Oct 4 at 2pm with Rev. John McGonigle officiating.  Interment to follow at the United Church Cemetery.  Funeral arrangements entrusted to Kerry M. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of out loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Thelma Coates, at St. Anthony Hospital on September 9, 2021 at the age of 94 years. She was the last child born to Abraham, and Elizabeth Dredge of Black Duck Cove.
She leaves to mourn with loving and lasting memories her Children, Gerald (Ruby), Betty (Bob), Marilyn (Whyman); Daughters-in-law, Ivy and Hazel; Grandchildren, Gerald (Lorraine), Dean (Madonna), Jennifer (John), Carlyann, Quenten (Sherri), Ricky, Miranda (Sebastien), Robbie (Deanna), Gregory, Scott (Kaitlin); Great-grandchildren, Tyler, Renee, Connor, Skylar, Sharla, Laura, Willie, Laci, Lucien, Ariane, Bobby, Blake, Jada, Gemma and Carly. She will also be remembered by, Sister-in-law, Gladys Dredge and Special Friend, Rosie Mclean.
Thelma was predeceased by her husband, Willie and Sons, Harrison and Melvin; Brothers, William, Walter, John, Roland, Abraham; Sisters, Blanche, Cinderella, and Kittie.
She loved her family very much. She especially loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and was always overjoyed whenever they came to visit her, always making sure she had pies and other treats to give them. She lived a simple life, she never travelled far from her home in Eddies Cove. She was a stay at home mom who worked hard to earn and provide for her family, making sure she did the best she could for them. After her husbands passing she moved to the Ivy Durley Place in Flowers Cove. She liked living at the home and we would like to thank the staff for taking such good care of her and making her feel so comfortable. Her last few months were spent at the hospital in St. Anthony, we would like tot hank the health care workers for attending to her every need and all the kindness they had shown her while she was there- thanks everyone.
Visitation to take place from St. Andrews Anglican Church in Lower Cove on Sunday, September 12, 2021. The funeral will be held on Monday, September 13, 2021 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Edith was born in Roddickton to Edward and Flossie (nee: Pollard ) Blanchard on July 7, 1944. Edith married Harold Humby of St. Lunaire on Oct 13, 1960 and and made their home there. They were blessed with two children, Flossie and Wilbert. Edith passed peacefully into the presence of her heavenly father on August 29, 2020 at the John M. Grey Center in St. Anthony at the age of 76 years old, where she was reunited with her loving family members. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her children; Flossie (Denley) Hedderson and Wilbert (Norma) Humby. Grandchildren, Robin (Susie), Rikki (Krista), Roger, Robert (Chanelle), Rhea, River, Cody (Holly), Nick, Zachary, and 13 great grandchildren. Sisters, Helen and Joyce (Val Carroll); brothers; Edward (Mary), William (May), Ricky (Bonnie). As well as a large circle of nieces, nephews and extended family and friends. Edith was predeceased by her husband Harold Humby. Parents, Edward and Flossie, brothers and sister in-law, Ross and Barry (Katie). Parents in-law; Joseph and Jesse Humby, one sister in-law and five brothers in-law. Cremation was entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre’s Funeral Home, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Lee Nippard, funeral director. Visitation will be held at the Pentecostal Church in St. Lunaire - Griquet on Saturday, September 18, 2021 from 12:30-1:30 pm (attendance via request or invitation only). The Funeral Service will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday Sept. 18th, 2021 (attendance via Request or invitation only) with Pastor Bill Harnum Officiating, Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Abe Moores was born on January 27th, 1950 in Flowers Cove to Eli and Laurola Moores. At a young age he moved to Port Aux Choix, after the death of his mother, they moved back to Flowers Cove. At the age of 20 he met the love of his life, Virtue, They later married in the year 1973. They had two daughters, Angela and Nadine. Abe had 3 other children from previous relationships; Leon, Lisa, and Lawrence. Abe was a linesman by trade but his passion was being a fisherman.

He Leaves to mourn with fond memories, his Wife, Virtue; Children, Nadine (Jeff), Angela, Lawrence (Olga), Leon (Cindy), Lisa; Grandchildren, Nikita, Nathan, Tisa, Brittany, Jenna, Taylor, Bradley; Great-grandchild, Ruby; Step-Mother, Margaret. He also leaves to mourn his Brothers, Edmund (Doreen), David (Amanda); Sisters-in-law, Maralies (Leonard), Millicent (Cliff), Helena (Iram).

It is with deep sadness that the family of the late Alma Coles announces her peaceful passing at the Health Science Centre surrounded by her loving family on August 20, 2021 at the age of 80 years.
Alma leaves the mourn with fond and loving memories her three sons Leslie (Agnes) Lyman (Marion Ann) and Gerald (Faye). Grandchildren: Jordan (Kelsey), Lyndon, Genine (Corey), Andy (Ashley) and Brady. Great Grandchildren: Chloe, Spencer, Aiden, Kayden, Kyle, Marlie, Sunny, Colby, Gracie, Janelle, Terrence (son Matthew) and Phoenix. Sisters: Eva (Garfield), Barbara (Harris) Sarah, Eliza, Mona (Stanley) brother: Roland (Ivy) and Mel (Sonya) In-laws: Nelson, Vernita (Coy), Clementina, Winston (Eileen), Beulah, and Kennett and their families as well as a large circle of extended relatives and friends.
She was predeceased by her loving husband of 62 years Gerald, father Roland and mother Mariam. Sisters: Margaret and Dora. Father-in-law Leslie, Mother-in-law Edna. Brother-in-laws: Edmond, Kirby, Henry, Stedman and Jim. Sister-in-laws: Judy, Millie and Thamsie.
The funeral will be held on Tuesday, August 31st, 2021 at 2:00 pm from St. Thomas Anglican Church in Sandy Cove with Rev. Short officiating.

HEDDERSON, CECILIA ANNE

May 19, 1929 - August 28, 2021

May 19th, 1929, Cecilia Anne was born to Maude and Joseph Clarke of Canada Harbour. She shared her childhood with sisters, Agnes, Carmel, Jenny, Dorothy, Elsie, and Brothers, Cyril and Garrett. At the age of 26 she married William Hedderson, unfortunately William was called home after just 10 short years of marriage.
Cecilia devoted her life to her 8 children, Madonna, Anne, Maxine, Leone, Jim, Bill, Denise, and Lonny.
In her later years, Cecilia was blessed with 18 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. Cecilia will never be forgotten, her memories will live forever in the hearts of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Cecilia lived a long and full life. She passed at the age of 92.
