WARREN, GLADYS MAHALLA

Gladys Mahalla, daughter of John and Eliza Pittman was born may 8th 1937. She was raised the first 2 years by “ auntie “ her mom was admitted to the TB sanatorium. November 15th 1954 she married Clayton Warren, together they raised 6 children. Glady was a true community volunteer, an avid member of the Anglican Church Women’s group. Where she still held the treasure position when she got ill mid March of this year. Gladys could match any chef with her cooking. As the children grew, they brought home friends and finally their families. The table set 3 or 4 times as we all got fed. She ate after everyone else was served. Nans Sunday dinners will be forever missed. Glady loved fun, she loved her Saturday night darts, her Tuesday night bingos, and she was ready for a game of crib anytime. The stories she told of her growing up, the mischievous fun ways she carried all her life, attracted all people young and old. Glady and Clayton loved fun, music, dancing, their highlight of the year was their fall moose hunting trips that took them all around the province camping. Gladys was a kind, gentle soul who loved life dearly. Anyone who knew her, especially her grandchildren and her great grandchildren will always remember her kind generous nature, her warm and nurturing love she gave us all will be forever cherished.

Forever loved and remembered by her 3 sons: Leonard ( Bertha) Kayward ( Bernette) Jeffrey 3 daughters: Juanita , Daphne ( Lester) Donna ( Allan ) 11 grandchildren: Jamie,(Dena) Jonathon,(Amanda ), Warren ( Karen ) , Randy (Jennifer), Ryan ( Chantel ), Lynn ( Merlin ) Natasha (Johnny ) , Kaylauna ( Melissa) Brooke ( Leah), Nadine Warren (Robin) and Samuel Clayton. 12 great grandchildren Sierra, Morgan, Tim, John, Kaiden, Kyle, James, Luke, Claire Gladys, Anna, Zayden, Adalynn Brother Aaron Pittman( Winnie) Sister in laws Ada Warren, Laurie Pittman and brother in law Leonard Elliott. Predeceased by husband Clayton, son in law Owen, Brothers : Everton, Ronald, Sisters : Isabella , Stella, Debbie, Ivy

Visitation to take place from the Anglican Church in Cook’s Harbour beginning 2:00 PM, Sunday, August 7th, 2022 followed by the family service at 7:00 PM. The funeral service will take place at 2:00 PM on Monday, August 8th, 2022 with Rev. Nat Larkin officiating. Interment to follow. Funeral Services were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatres funeral home, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Lee Nippard Funeral Director.

WARREN, CLAYTON

Passed away peacefully at the Charles S. Curtis Memorial on the 17th day of March 2014. Mr. Clayton Warren of Cook's Harbour was in his 80th year. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife of 59 years Gladys, his children Juanita (Owen deceased), Leu(Bertha), Daphne(Lester), Donna(Allan), Hayward(Bernette), and Jeffrey, Eleven Grandchildren, Seven Great-Grandchildren, Brother Garfield(Ada), Sister Elsie(Leonard), Sister-in-Laws Deborah and Ivy, Brother-in-Laws Everton, Aaron and Winnie as well as a large circle of family and friends. He was predeceased by  his parents Harrison and Florence, Siblings Irene, Bertram, Rita, Virginia. Visitation was held at the St. Matthews Anglican Church in Cook's Harbour from which the funeral service was held at 2:00pm on the 20th day of March 2014 with Rev. Mark O. Wilkoff officiating. Internment followed in the church cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral Homes, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Lee Nippard Funeral Director.

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Mr. Harrison Aaron Warren announce his passing atthe Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook on the 3rd day of November 2013. Mr. Harrison Warren of Cook’s Harbour was in his 75th year. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memoires his loving wife Vira Warren, his children Claude(Anita), Collis(Cathy), Pansy(Ford), Shawn(Mary Jane), and Kirby, Grandchildren Jennifer, Kris, Heather, Travis, Dillon, Ian, Bradley, and Victoria Lynn, Great Grandchildren Peyton and Eli,  Sisters Hazel Diamond, Dulcie Woodward, Grace Pittman, as well as a large circle of family and friends. He was predeceased by parents Caleb and Rosanna Warren, his brothers Isaac, Ford, and Whyman, his sisters Violet Woodward and Jessie Carroll, and Great Grandson Brenden Warrren.  Visitation was held at the St. Matthews Anglican church in Cook’s Harbour from which the funeral service was held at 2:00pm on the 7th of November 2013 with  Rev. Mark O. Wilkoff and  Rev. Leonard Whitten officiating. Interment followed at the church cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral Homes, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Siobhan Mauger Funeral Director.
