ELLIOTT, WILBERT WALLACE

Born in St. Anthony on April 18, 1938 to William and Maude Elliott, Wilbert Wallace Elliott passed away peacefully on January 20th, 2016. He married Juanita Taylor on December 3rd, 1960 and together they raised four children: Diane, Peggy, Jackie, and Danny. Wilbert was a hard working fisherman. When he retired, he took to gardening, as well as playing and singing. His music was a great pastime. He also loved berry picking and cutting wood. He leaves to mourn his Wife Juanita; Children- Dianne (Alonzo), Peggy, Jackie (Marshall), and Danny (Ursula); Grandchildren- Ryan, Robbie, Adam, Melissa, Michelle, and Dylan; Great-Grandchildren Tyler and Paige as well as a large circle of family and friends. He was predeceased by his brothers Chesley, Ross, Kenneth, Ernest; and his sisters Phyllis, and Hazel. Visitation was held at the United Church in Raleigh from where the funeral took place on January 24, 2016 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Gus Pendleton officiating.  Internment followed in the United Cemetery in Raleigh. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre's Funeral Home, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Lee Nippard Funeral Director.

TAYLOR, HARVEY EDMOND

Passed away peacefully on the9th day of May 2013 at hte Health Science Center. Mr Harvey Taylor of Raleigh was in his 73rd year. He leaves to mourn with a lifetime of fond and loving memories his wife of 50 years Selma, Daughters Ruby (Morgan), Brenda (Jon), Angela, Son Ivan (Zonya), Grandchildren Sheri-Lynn, Matthew, Curtis, Chelsea, Kelcie, Great- Grandchildren Kobe and Kylie, Brothers Abiel and Norman, Sisters Bertha, Lucy, and Drucey, Sisters-in-law Viola, Ivy, Sharon, Brothers-in-law Louden and George, as well as a large circle of family and friends. He was predeceased by his son Verdon, Father and Mother Llewelyn and Emily Taylor, Brothers Hector and Willie, Sister-in-law Flossie, Brother-in-law Reuben. Visitation was held at the United Church in Raleigh from which the funeral service took place at 2:00pm on the 12th day of May with Rev. Gus Pendleton officiating.  Interment followed at the New United Church Cemetery. Funeral Arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral Homes, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Lee Nippard funeral director.
