He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Christine Gibbons; Daughter Crystal Anna Gibbons; Special Niece Oriana P. Caines (Goddaughter); Mother Marjorie Gibbons; Brothers Dennis (Cassie), Truman (Bernice), Herman; Sisters Celia (Ward), Ellen (Mike), Sheilagh (Lloyd); Nephews and Nieces Tamara (Steve), Nathan (Penney), DJ, Chelsey (Andrew), Michael, Joshua, Logan, Marissa (Doug), Christine (Leon), Mandy; Great Nieces and Nephews Aubree, Kaci-Rae as well as sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, and many nieces and nephews in the Pittman family. Royal was predeceased by his Father Nathaniel Gibbons; Grandparents Isaac Gibbons & Sarah-Jane Coates, Walter & Mahala Applin; Father-in-Law Christopher J. Pittman and Mother-in-law Bridgett Pittman. Visitation took place from the Our Lady of Grace Roman Catholic Church in Bird Cove from where the funeral also took place on May, 17th, 2017 at 2:00 pm with Fr. Bosco officiating. Veronica Stevens passed away peacefully at the Northern Lights Regional Health Center in Fort McMurray, Alberta on July 13th 2015 surrounded by her immediate family. She leaves to mourn with loving memories her Husband Jock Stevens, Daughters Kelly Rodgers & Kendall Young and Son Jock Stevens Jr , Grandchildren Cody Rogers & Kaylee Young and her Brothers and Sisters ( Augustine Anscome,Thersea Rumbolt,Ruby Rumbolt ,Ismay Gould ,Wanda Gaulton, Bernard Rumbolt ,Glenn Rumbolt ,Nish Rumbolt,Ambrose Rumbolt, Simon Rumbolt. She was predeceased by her Mother Charlotte Mary Rumbolt, Father Ambrose Rumbolt. Visitation was held at Our Lady of Grace Parish in Bird Cove, Newfoundland from which the funeral services took place at 12:00 Noon Sunday July 19th 2015 with Father John Bosco officiating. It is with great sadness that the family of the late Peter Joseph Mahar announces his passing at the Curtis Memorial Hospital, St. Anthony on June 13, 2015 in his 90th year. He leaves to mourn a loving family, Children; Ellen (Tony), Jean, Noreen, Joe (Darlene), Josephine (Riley), Hiram (Todd), Terrance (Karen), Wade (Judy), Monica (Percy), Mary (Danny), Dennis (Wanda) and Brother Pat, brother-in-law Victor (Mary): 14 grandchildren, 12 great -grandchildren and a large circle of family and friends. He was predeceased by his loving wife Maggie (nee Caines), his parents James and Helen (nee Pittman) Mahar, and Brother James (Hilda), sisters, Alice Myers (Jim), Mary Kennedy (Wes), Theresa Doyle (Pat), Elizabeth Caines (Douglas), Rita Caines (Raymond), Johanna Caines (Peter) and sister-in-law Dorothy. Visitation was held at Our Lady of Grace Parish, Bird Cove where the funeral service was held on Tuesday, June 16 at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Bosco and Fr. O‘Quinn officiating. Passed away peacefully at home on Dec. 24, 2014, with all her loving family by her side, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s, Agnes Kennedy, in her 90th year. She leaves behind with fond and loving memories her sons John Kennedy (Lily) and Rodney Kennedy (Elizabeth); daughter Lorie Kennedy; grandson Perry Kennedy (Chianna); granddaughters Tara Mahar (Jordan), Viki Kennedy (Mark), and April Kennedy; greatgrandsons Jamal Kennedy, and Nathan Kennedy; brother Michael Mahar; sister Isabel Kennedy, as well as a large circle of other family and friends. She was predeceased by her husband John Kennedy, parents Michael and Catherine Mahar, sisters Evangeline Caines, Mary Ann Mahar, Catherine Mahar and Josephine Mahar, and brothers Christopher Mahar and Peter Mahar. Visitation took place at Our Lady of Grace Church in Bird Cove from where the funeral service was held on Saturday, Dec. 27 at 2 p.m. with Fr. Britto Adaikalam officiating. Passed away at the Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony on the 10th of May 2013, Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Mahar of Bird Cove in her 60th year. Mary leave behind her Children Dermot, Desmond (Vanessa), and Gorvin (Nicole), her Grandchildren Riley, kloe, and Jacklyn, her Father Ambrose, brothers and sisters Christopher, Leo(Darlene), Tom, Kevin (Ramona), Angela, Jackie (Austin), and Ambrose. Despite her young age she lived to see the loss of her Mother Mary (Kennedy) Mahar, her husband Christopher, her Brother Ambrose. Visitation was held at Our Lady of Grace Church in Bird Cove, from which the funeral service took place at 11:00am on Tuesday with Father Ambrose Hynes Officiating.
