COATES, ANDREW

It is with deep sadness that the family of the late Andrew Coates of Wild Bight announce his passing at home surrounded by his loving family on October 14th, 2021 at the age of 88 years.

Andrew leaves to mourn his loving wife of 56 years, Evelyn, His two daughters: Hellen (Albert), Sherry (Leon) Grandchildren: Jocelyn (Greg) Jennifer (Steevens) Jillian (Jesse) Great-grandchildren: Emma, Harrison, Logan, Étienne, Bella, Aiden, Cashton. Hannah. In addition, his siblings will mourn him: Selma (Thomas), Philip (Linda) Sister-in-law : Ivy, Eileen, Marie, Bernice (Jerry) ,Bertha (Dave), Rosie (Steven). Brother-in-law: Gary (Shawna) and George

As well as a large, circle of nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.

Predeceased by: Parents; Richard Henry and Marie Jane Coates.

Sister – Bennett Blake.

Visitation took place on October 17, 2021 at 15:00 with Pastor Jeff Elliott officiating, followed by interment at the Wild Bight Anglican Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements were provided by Kerry M. Fillatres funeral Home St-Anthony, Lee Nippard, Funeral Director.

Ruby Elliott (Nee Simms) Age 80 years. Passed away suddenly and peacefully at home in Cook’s Harbour in the early morning hours on August 27, 2020. She is pre-deceased by her son, Frank, and her parents George and Flossie Simms (Ollerhead). Born in Main Brook, Ruby later moved to St. Anthony with her parents and siblings. Ruby will be remembered by her husband, Frank; son, Ken (Debbie); daughters, Joan Saunders (Bill) and Glenda Pittman (Randy); daughter-in-law, Marina; grandchildren, Tracy, Randy, Leah, Brent, Dana, Zachery, Wanda, Morley, Stephanie, and Billy; seven great grandchildren, and by her 13 brothers and sisters.
